Just watching the 13 minute NUFCCOMPILATION video of him. Actually forgot how good he is over the summer! Want to see him play tomorrow, but I get the feeling we'll only see him if we're chasing the game. Catch 22.

I'll just be happy to see him get more games for us than last season. Got a nagging feeling that that may not be a foregone conclusion. At least we'll have the Europa and hopefully a minimum of 2 rounds in each of the domestic cups. We've actually got a half decent squad of players to rotate for more winnable cup matches. When everyone is fit, we have options in most areas. Just really lack decent cover full back and only really have two quality strikers. Which is why I hope the 4-3-3 is adopted and we rotate Ba/Cisse a bit more as the central striker. I think we might try and mix it up even more this season and not play the same players, formation and tactics all the while. We changed it at times last season, but sometimes we seemed a bit flat and stale.

Sounds a little bit Carribean in his interivew. Then wiki'd him and seen he was born in Curacao, which would explain it. Which is apparently a place in the Carribean and not just a drink. Learning all the while me! Comes across really well, looking forward to seeing how he gets on now.

Has anyone started with the paranoia yet? Tiote or Cabaye must be off etc? I have to say, it has crossed my mind, but only a very minor worry. Just think we have signed a DM already, albeit a young un. Amalfitano can play in the middle, Marv has seemed to play centrally for us a few times. Abeid is looking decent, Jonas can play there. Then we have Gosling, Tiote and Cabaye on top of that. Still, I'm taking the positive way of thinking and saying that signing Big Vurn, is a clear hint that Pards wants to play 4-3-3/4-2-3-1.

All of which apparently have knocks. I know Davey boy! Hence why I mentioned them in particular Tiote and Colo just sound like the old 'carrying a knock' type injuries players conveniently get before International friendlies. Cisse and Ba sound like they'll be alright. Cabaye I'm a bit unsure on, because like HBA, he's barely plaed for us in pre season. Did play 3 out of 4 games in the Euros for France mind and he seems a naturally fit (Dreamboat) guy. Fingers crossed!

Wasn't realy expecting him to play anyway? Bar maybe getting on for 20 minutes if we were chasing the game. It's always read like he hasn't got enough minutes in or been back for long enough and Pards' interviews have been pretty downbeat when asked about HBA. As long as we have Cabaye, Ba, Cisse, Colo and Tiote we'll be alright. Need to play 4-3-3 as well of course, or at least keep the direct approach to a minimum. Gutted as the rest of yous that he won't be playing as I'm up for the match and he's terrific to watch, but it's not the end of the world. He would have been short of match fitness and rusty as hell. Can imagine he would be losing the ball left, right and centre.

I loved Oba when he was here, was a bit blind to all his faults if I'm honest (young and naive). He was one of the better, more exciting players we had during a dull period. He was massively inconsistent and I can see watching him now for other clubs, he isn't a very good footballer!

I went to Peterborough vs York (0-0 and an awful game) when I was about 8 or so. I asked my Dad, "where are the commentators and why can't we hear them." It would be pretty fucking annoying having massive loudspeakers at the match for the likes of Ray Wilkins or Clive what's his face off ITV.
