Not once said he can necessarily be relied on or we shouldn't buy another centre half. His injury record is patchy at best and the fact we need another centre back is abundantly clear. Just thought the comment about starting the season with a non English first XI, or with Douglas next to Colo was wide of the mark, as I would expect Taylor to be in it.

    Ahem. What about S.Taylor?

He said nothing of the sort... Just light heartily joked that to keep Ba happy (as he knows he's not as happy playing out wide doing a job for the team) he'd switch him in the middle... Panic over cheers. Someone on the other forum putting 2 and 2 together nad getting 83.

Read on another forum. Someone had bothered to listen to it and said this. Worrying if true!

Not listened myself, but supposedly been on TalkSport saying he's going to revert to 4-4-2 for the rest of the season to push on Hope to fuck he is just trying some petty mind games, that would be fucking ridiculous. Not sure I could handle going back to the hoof ball, fail to retain possession, chase a bit, win it back and repeat. I'm a nervous wreck watching it, it doesn't get the best out of our players and it's frustrating as hell. He's onto a winning formula, why would you change it?
  6. :'( Did AP confirm this? Real shame that, as he looked quality in a midfield 3. Also not sure who will now play left back against Swansea. Santon is very attack minded and not sure AP trusts him yet, R.Taylor will get murdered with no support from Jonas and Ferguson has barely played this season. Hope he sticks with the 4-3-3 and doesn't revert to 4-4-2 due to injured players.

He looks about 40 and his moves are shit.

Not meaning to piss on anyone's chips, as I am cautiously optimistic about the summer window as well. However, wasn't it mooted that the Cisse deal came about from the £10m up front Virgin sponsorship? Obviously that might be inaccurate, but I'm not overly confident we'll spend much, unless other players leave (can see one Ba or Tiote going sadly). In fairness though, we don't really need to spend a shit load, our recent signings have been alright
  9. Never even knew that! That is mental.

Yep. Personally can't believe some people seem so nonchalant about him going. He'd be a massive loss.

    Carlos Cuellar anyone?

Everyone is setting HBA up for a fall, he's not the most consistent. If AP tweaks his tactics and HBA has to defend more, we could see another Norwich like performance. However, if on form, I do see him as the sort of player to worry Jose. Players that hug the touchline and knock it and run (Obertan, Walcott) get bossed by him. Quick bursts of acceleration and tackling on his right foot are not Jose's strong points, he seems to take a while to get going, although once he is up and running, he is stupidly fast. Hoping Ben Arfa gets a bit more of a free role like he did against WBA, would like to see him inside a bit more often. Think he'll struggle a bit if he stays wide all game.

Bolton was class. Although I was suffering with the worst hangover known to man. Everyone was just casually smoking and drinking in the stands near me it was one of them were even the smell of smoke made you feel ropey. Still went off when HBA scored, the game was pretty awful up until that point.

This season at the SOL was superb. Was right at the back near the police control box (think that's what it is). Anyway, a couple inside were obviously mags 9-1 FTM, because they were celebrating as well. Everyone was banging on the glass and just going loopy. It was bloody hot and all! The bloke that fell over that railing
  15. Other way round for me. Can lash it, curl it and ping a decent pass on it. Just shit at trying to dribble with it. Footballers that flatly refuse to use their weaker foot irritate the fuck out of me. How hard can it be you overpaid swines

Yep. Beats relegation and finishing 13th-14th in the prem.

Pantafola D'ora's. They make the best boots, but I consider myself too shit to wear them! http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/Products/Pantofola-d'oro-Football-Boots-Pantofola-d'Oro-Lazzarini-Stud-Soft-Ground-Soccer-Cleats-Red-23540.aspx
  18. I like Alonso, but is he known as a bit of a wanker or something? Might be coincidence, but in his last season for Liverpool, I think 3 or 4 people were sent off for hacking him down! One was Joey Barton. He always seems like such a sly, dirty fucker against Barca as well. Loads of niggly fouls, plus some really naughty ones. Seems to escape punishment, whereas players like Ramos just pick up their customary red card Alonso does get a lot of yellows doesn't he?

Fellaini was the best player over the two legs, Osman MOTM by far last night, really impressive. Didn't Wilshere liken him to Iniesta? Ok so he's not quite as good but I can see the comparison. TBF, your whole team looked quality. Heitinga and Distin were rock solid in both games, your midfield was decent, they dominated and now you've added a goalscorer. I even thought Gibson was alright, which is strange as I always thought he was a long shot specialist and nowt more at Man U. Bit like one of the mackems last night Gueye was impressive and all. Him and Velios tore our reserves apart a while back and looked good on the highlights. Always had a soft spot for Everton due to one of my closest mates supporting them and maybe to do with the fact they have been trolling sunderland since 2001. Shame I now want liverpool to win the semi can't believe there will be two games, barring sunderland where I want liverpool to actually win How have we got ourselves into this situation!
  20. From the sun article. So it would be more than £50k a week apparently. Surely he would get decent bonuses on top of a basic £50k anyway? Thought our contracts were supposedly going to be performance based?

Everton were class last night, but MY WORD, sunderland were atrocious. Yet again, they're fucked if they don't score first and their inability to actually get more than a shot on target per game has cost them. They lack creativity going forward, McClean is a one trick pony, the defenders have one passing mode, which is HOOF. Bendtner plays about 1 good game in 5, Sessegnon looked greedy, Gardner and Larsson are the definition of average and Cattermole..... I saw a few on RTG saying he was MOTM some of his long range passing (shanking) was hilarious, he was constantly out of position and was lucky not to get booked for nearly instigating a brawl. Which would have meant him getting sent off, as he got his customary yellow later on. If it wasn't for Mignolet and a few wayward finishes, it would have been 5 or 6. Did Howard have a save to make until the 93rd minute? Now got to cheer for the red half of Liverpool in a few weeks. I'm not liking this.
  22. Annoying thing is, we have 2 games in quick succession against Swansea and Bolton over Easter. Would be confident of winning the latter with or without him, but Liverpool and Swansea will be a nightmare. Our game against Chelsea being postponed on the 14th April is now a blessing in disguise, as it should hopefully mean Colo is only going to miss 3 games.
  23. Expecting him to come into the midfield with Jonas shifting to left back. A midfield 3 of him, Cabaye and Guthrie would be pretty decent I reckon. Just hope AP sticks with the 4-3-3. The thought of another disjointed, clueless, Stoke like 4-4-2 doesn't bare thinking about.

    Papiss Cissé

Can only really echo others views, pretty well covered on here! Surprised at how good his all round game is, thought he was just going to be a 'poacher' type. An instinctive striker and has so far fluffed his 3 seemingly easier chances. His movement is superb, was worried he was going to get caught offside a lot, as the stats from Germany seemed to suggest he was born offside. Amazing to think he's looking this good and he still doesn't speak English and is yet to settle
