Club does a shock reveal on deadline day of JFK in blackface as our new DoF

Shanghai will win the cup but it'll be interesting to see what he can do with them next season. Shanghai, Guoan and Evergrande will probably still be out of reach but he might be able to get them to the best of the rest.

Dalian is possibly a bigger project than Newcastle in terms of setting up infrastructure, staff and getting a good team together. Challenging the big 3 in China would be a huge undertaking assuming he has the backing of the owner.

I think we've reached a position where the Maguire transfer would be Leicester -> Man Utd £80m Hoffenheim -> Man Utd £25m Hoffenheim -> Caen £15m All the clubs in the PL just have too much stupid amounts of money and it's inflating transfers ridiculously.

Imagine working all those years, getting your qualifications, serving your time and then having to have your writing checked by the window licker

Mike's that uncle at family gatherings who keeps bringing up 'the incident' and can't take the hint from all the we don't talk about that looks.

Another shit brand Quite popular though, most skinny people between the ages of 13-21 have a wardrobe full of their stuff. It would be interesting to see what he does with it, most brands he buys he cheapens the quality and look of, though his Flannels stores sells other brands well. I’m not sure he’d be able to own a brand and not be wanting to cut corners with them. Might be popular but it's not a viable business hence the administration. Brick and mortar stores need to come up with a new strategy if they're to somehow compete with online.

Aye but you're on a board banging on and on with people who gave up their tickets when keegan left. Everyone's on the same page. Granted, it took you a bit longer to get there but we're all singing from the same hymn sheet. You don't see anything other people don't see, you don't have any special insight or claim, you have your (rather late to the party) opinion and shouldn't be judging others based on theirs.

Ok, so when was the last game you went to?

Nah, if he stays it is more than likely because the home situation has improved (which it fingers crossed naturally should have with age and acclimatization) or the fact he is just resigned to not getting the move he wants lol. He never wanted to leave because he didn't like it here. Still sounds like he has far from ruled out a move (this mornings rags) despite what Cabbage says. Aye, first year with a sick kid was always going to be rough. Maybe the baby is getting through the health issues a bit now and they've started to adapt to the new life a bit more. Whether he stays or goes I wish the guy all the best, he's been a model professional.

Well put, some odd comments in here, very odd. It's like we haven't got an owner who just got rid of Rafa Benitez for Steve fucking Bruce. Everybody fucking sees it, man, do you think everybody else is too stupid to see what's going on? Only you knuckleheads see the truth?
-
Rafa didn't want those players.

As a newly promoted team it's not like they had a bunch of high value assets to offset their spending either.

I'm not sure a right back is essential. In an ideal world, yeah i'd like an upgrade but if we're planning on playing three at the back then I think Yedlin and Manquillo are a 'good enough for now' solution. CM and out and out striker is a higher priority in my opinion.

Well yes, obviously, I doubt any father of young boys would say otherwise. I want Ashley out of our club as much as anyone but if i'm ever in Newcastle again anytime soon you can bet i'm taking my two sons to their first game at St James'. Some things are more important than just getting rid of fat Mike. Look at it another way, if he does ever leave and we get decent new owners then who's going to support them if the young kids of today have all gone off and bought a fucking Man City shirt? My dad passed it on to me (cheers dad), i'll pass it on to my kids, they'll pass it on to theirs and fuck Mike Ashley.
-
Our support isn't one great homogeneous group. Of course there are people who will still go just as there's plenty who won't. 3 geordies in a room, five opinions.

He's not a billionaire any more is he? Thought his value had dropped to £700m or so. Obviously nothing compared to HTT's family business but nothing to be sneezed at.

It's the guy who's stabbed himself in the stomach on the touch line rather than spend another game having a ball kicked at his head.

Could make a fortune betting the draw with this lot this season.

The bloke's made hundreds of millions after starting from a single shop. He's made some bad decisions recently (on purpose?) but you can't deny his achievements in his field.
-
Guess we're fucked then.

Just as a point of order I think the thread titles should be just 'longstaff' and 'shortstaff'. No need for first names.

Hate seeing Managers in a tracksuit so fucking trampy From glasses in the suit jacket to pasty in the shell suit pocket.

Aye, we only employ people called Steve now. Cheers for the insight. The only real hope I suppose is that one of the Steves can drill the players on tactics and formations while Bruce does whatever it is he does and it doesn't end up like it did with Carver and Pardew. Slim hope....
