I don't think so. We have a few boringly repetitive posters who, while vocal, don't represent the majority. While there is a spectrum of views on the topic most are accepting of differing viewpoints and still stand as one fanbase united to do what we can to get Ashley out. Some will boycott, some think a boycott is pointless but we're all fans of this football club and at heart want what is best for it.

You friends now? He's just desperate. Constantly trying to imagine there's some clique that he's a part of, some little gang. The desperation to be one of the cool kids, to be part of a group is a little sad but if this imaginary little team of revolutionaries railing against the man gives him the sense of belonging and comradeship his life is so sorely lacking then so be it.

Rafa rotated and kept an eye on players fitness leading to a greatly reduced injury list and players being available and fit. Bruce is basically just going to run 15 players into the ground. Say goodbye to our strong second halves of the season.

Might leave them up the creek.

Could you not make the URL a bit longer?

A pointless transfer policy. Buying worse than you have already. Same was said about Fernandez, Ki and even Schaar last summer. "Buying players off relegated teams! This is terrible! What a farce!" Come on guys. It's okay to complain and be negative, but at least do it over things that deserve it. I can see your point of view but what's the point of having exciting players or players with potential when theres no sporting endeavour at the club? Every positive action the club takes (which is rare) is underpinned by the fact that they arent with the goal of winning games but making money. Its pointless. We can watch exciting players at other clubs but I dont want to, I want to watch players playing for my club with the sole purpose of winning games, when that's absent, what's the point of getting excited? I just don't think this Willems signing is one to get annoyed over. It's actually a pretty shrewd signing IMO. I'm even a bit surprised to see squad signings being brought in. Buying younger players with re-sale value, should not necessarily mean that they are flogged as soon as they do well for any money that comes in. It should really just mean that if players do well and interest comes in from outside parties, then the club can maximise the revenue from them and make huge profits, which should then go back into the team. It should then get to a stage where there is less need to sell these players on and the team should go from strength to strength. Totally understand and agree that we cannot completely trust MA to actually stick to this approach, and so we'll see what transpires. If he doesn't, it will all implode and we can all have a good laugh at that, and he'll have to sell up at some point as we go tumbling downwards. I love your optimism and yes, that might be a viable plan for a functioning club but profits re-invested in the team? Going from strength to strength on the back of player sales? We have 12 years of evidence showing this will not happen. If you truly believe that (and from your posting history I can't believe you do) then you're in for a rude awakening.

Hard to call Gouffran a winger or Obertan a footballer.

I predict Saturday 29th February 2020.

Give it time, it's just the beginning. After a run of defeats with a few hammerings in the first 10 games people will start to turn.

Sure you’ll be missed in County Durham.

We'll be lucky to get 2. Rafa had us playing tight for a reason so we can look forward to a lot more Pardew style canings when Bruce opens us up. Sad thing is there won't even be any kind of plan behind it, our 'more attacking football' will just be playing an extra striker and hoping they score. Pards 'bit of magic' all over again, friggin deja vu.

Not if they'd been forced to eat 6 fried egg and bacon sarnies and 12 steak bakes under a new nutritional regime earlier that morning.

I'm wondering if they're waiting for an outgoing player to rebalance the net spend before they buy again.

He must be mental. He'd have been 23 when his contract ran out and given his profile could probably have got himself in as first choice at a championship club.
-
We did work hard as a team last season and it served us well but that hard work was allied to Rafa's tactics and organisation which made it work. Under Bruce there's not going to be any plan besides running and working hard.
-
I'm surprised Pep and Klopp never thought of 'running', reckon Brewcie has pulled a masterstroke here. We'll wipe the floor with their silly notions of things like 'skill', 'organisation' and 'tactics'. Was it Carver who banged on about jumping higher than the opposition or something? We might be in for a similar ride to his magisterial time in charge especially with our opening 10 fixtures.

The whole reason we're even discussing it is because it's in someone's sig, alone, out of context Christ, the bit about 12 fans protesting was way worse.

Loki has been here ages like, and has always been sound as fuck. Very much disagree with his points on Bruce here, but he's not one of those mentalists that'll back anything the manager/Ashley says Yeah which makes what he’s saying more surprising. Fucking hell, it’s still going Look, I was just pointing out there’s better things to get at him about than an offhand quote which isn’t actually far from the truth, it’s certainly not sig worthy
