  1. At 23 years old having never reached double figures playing for the most successful team in the country what makes you think he'd almost double his best ever goal tally playing for a defensively minded mid table side?

How was he planning to make any money?
  3. Alright, say he's not an out and out striker. His assist record isn't good either. He got a total of 9 assists in those 3 seasons (4/1/4). So he doesn't score many, he doesn't create many. He doesn't sound like what we need.
  4. In all seriousness both his goalscoring and assist record in the PL leave a lot to be desired. Especially for someone playing for a team like Man Utd who are going to be on the attack more often than not.
  5. He always gave 100% no matter what he was asked to do. Fact is he just wasn't good enough for this level the last couple of seasons but he doesn't pick himself. Model professional, good servant to the club and deserving of much better treatment and more respect than he's currently being shown by Pardew and co.
  6. Give them £15m for him but they have to take out a full page ad in the chronicle apologising profusely for Obertan.
  7. QPR FC @QPRFC · 3m We would like to clarify that Mr Redknapp in no way endorses the views exhibited in the recent text messages. We however stand by the fact that Mr Mackay is neither a rapist nor a murderer.
  8. Surely that's the absolute very least you should expect from a supposedly grown man.
  9. Speaking to some non toon supporting mates yesterday (liverpool mostly) and the general consensus was we were unlucky not to get a draw and it was a decent performance against a very good City side.
  10. Hey Dermot, know any good managers? They have to take Pardew, man. It's unforgivably cruel if yet another golden chance to be rid of him is passed over.
  11. Unforgivably inconsistent application of full stops in a numbered list. Sorted. http://i.imgur.com/WnmXTBW.png
  12. 'Hi Mike, I just tried to sign that fucking Blackietimbi Gomis but the bastard is probably eating chicken somewhere...bloody Jamaican dreaded cunt' Kind of stupid logic is this? There's plenty racism in our own football and we need to be better. Bit of verbal diarrhoea. I've experienced racism (not just to myself) at English football grounds so it does 'deserve a mention', what a strange and arrogant thing to say. It might not be as prevalent as other leagues but I didn't realise we're competing in some sort of bigotry league against Russia, Turkey, Ukraine etc. We can't compete with sovereign states like Russia, Turkey and Ukraine tbf.

Very true. Poor Shaun Wright Phillips signed for both.

Also why it's so sad to see a lot of these young kids joining the cash clubs for the money and sitting on the bench for a couple of seasons (if they're lucky). They're taking themselves out of the game at a crucial time in their development as a player. very true i do wonder if this trend is going to continue after the abject moves made by the likes of moses, rowell, sinclair and whoever else...penny seems to have dropped that it's a shite thing for them to be doing It's just a bit short sighted for me. They want the big paycheck now (and the inevitable move to a smaller club on lower wages for the rest of their careers) instead of realising that with 2 or 3 years of first team football they'll likely be good enough to earn and keep a spot in that top club on the big money for 6, 7, 8 years.

  16. No, it's because midfielders who are unable to contribute to transitional or attacking phases are an anachronism and a burden to the team.
  17. This is the reward for the fans who have to endure a 4am bonking by Stoke. It's not much to ask
  18. Least it won't affect your CB purchasing plans.
  19. 7:45pm on a saturday evening. What a wonderful time for football
  20. Voted win. Villa really aren't a very good side at all apart from one or two decent players. Fancy Riviere to get off the mark here and Sissoko to seal the win. 2-0 to us.
  21. I don't think anybody has said it's a good result. It was an encouraging performance and I think we were unlucky to lose. The football landscape has changed immeasurably since Dalglish's time here though.
  22. Playing against Man City was never going to be a great game to judge our attacking intent, like. Villa will be a more honest show of how we intend to play this season imo.
