  1. Their confidence must be rock bottom at the moment. (Assuming Arsenal maintain their current lead.) I'm confident we can get a win here, but we'll be made to work for it.
  2. Bollocks. This just got a whole lot harder without ASM.
  3. I'll be quite annoyed if Lascelles just walks back into the team, whereas Bruno gets 5 minutes at the end.
  4. As usual, growing ever more confident as the week progresses, which nosedives half an hour before kick-off Agree with what others have said, Hammer at work has shared the same fear about players being tired, especially Antonio. Think our biggest challenge is keeping Rice muted however, so I'll be hoping Joelinton and Shelvey can do enough there.
  5. 1. Fucking right back in. Haven't been to a match this season, but I'm checking this forum every half hour for any sort of news. Watching all of the YouTube clips, match of the day to do my own personal scouting for our next opponents ( ) and just loving it.
  6. Would take a point all day here. Pressure is off a little thanks to our recent run, so wouldn't be too disheartened with a loss.

    Joelinton

On a human level, so pleased for him. Must have been difficult to deal with getting pelters every single week, despite the wage packet. Still can't be great. Now, he's absolutely adored, and for good reason. Haven't seen the game yet, but going off the comments here, seems he was excellent once again. Superb.
  8. I'm still not 100% confident, but fuck me. We're doing all the right things. There's such a swell of positive momentum behind us, everyone is pulling in the right direction. Think Brentford could well be in the shit, especially if we beat them.
  9. A few weeks ago, we beat Leeds and I forgot to watch the match. Since then, I've avoided watching other games live, just in case. Not trying to say this streak is because of me, but...
  10. Honestly think Bruno should have started instead of Shelvey. Just feel like he's a ticking time bomb, either a red card or too slow to deal with Countinho. I trust Eddie, and he proved me wrong last time, but really think this was the time to introduce Bruno.
  11. I like him. He's not a superstar signing, but he's grafting, has a brilliant attitude, and is allowing other players like ASM more space, simply by being on the pitch. Agree though that he does need to start scoring, if only to finish up with 4 or 5 for us, as we need goals from everyone to start seeing games out like we did against Everton. Always feel we'll concede at least one at the moment.
  12. Was gutted that he didn't start Bruno, thought he'd lost his nerve. Shows what I fucking know
  13. Think Everton are fucked, you know. 2009 Newcastle all over.
  14. Right, fuck it. It's done. We can still win the game, they're nothing special. Come on boys, be a good group of lads and win the fucker.
  15. Most anxious I've been for team news since the Pardew days. Fuck me that feels like yesterday, not a decade ago ffs.
  16. Amazing. Hope he starts and knits us together as a team. Yeah, no pressure mate.
  17. It's yet another must win game that we simply can't afford to throw away. Watford, Norwich, and Brentford should have all been wins. We need to change the narrative, turning draws into wins, not wins into draws.
  18. You only need to look at how reluctant he was to start Hatem Ben Arfa to realise what colossal cunt he is.
  19. fucking horrible, isnt it. So much potential, so close.
  20. Saying he doesn't fear anything. Let's hope that rubs off on the rest of the squad. Fuck, I'm so excited by this guy, and I've never seen him play except for clips posted here
  21. Brentford emulating kids on the playground running after the ball there. Not worried by that one clip tbh. Still think it's going to be a lot harder to get a win now. Before Lampard came in, I'd have been very confident of a win. Only that he's obviously going to bring a feel-good factor to the club and have the players playing with a spring in their step. Yes, all the clichés, but it always seems to happen against us that a new manager gets a nice start to their reign.
  22. Just caught up on the Bournemouth/Boreham Wood game. Fuck me, Woodman looks absolutely shit.
