I was just finishing secondary school when Ashley came in. My Dad and I went up to St James' together for the first time (we lived in South London which is why it took me so long.)We won 3-2 against Everton, Barton addressed the fans I think. Thought we were gonna be in for some good times. Then relegation happened soon after, and I was sick to my stomach. I didn't talk to anyone at work for about 2 days I followed us up and down the country in the Championship season, I actually enjoyed it a lot. At this point, I assumed Ashley would be gone and things would change drastically. Then came the following season. Losing Hughton and Carroll was the start of the demise for me. Yes there were bright spots, like Ben Arfa, finishing 5th and so on. But my passion eroded season after season seeing our best players leave and that dickhead Pardew stink up the touchline. To cut a long, and miserable story short, by the time we lost Rafa I'd all but given up. Didn't post here at all, barely watched games. My love for football as a whole had all but vanished. So to get that feeling back, of actively coming here again, being excited. It's fucking magic.

Fulham away, 2016. Next one, soon as possible. Can't believe I'm saying that, what a day.

He'd be good backup for Ryan Taylor to be fair
-
Gonna be class having Hatem manage and play along side him ain't it
-
Holy shit. So Bruce gone when?

Beautiful post, and really, thank you for sharing. I'm certain he was so proud of you and everything you've done, and this is what this takeover really comes down to; us getting our club back. That's what matters the most, and it's ground so many of us down having to see the thing we love taken away from us year after year until it is what we have now. A shell, hollow and barely functioning. This is going to be huge for all of us. Ashely Out, forever.

Your last sentence there is spot on mate. Lost my dad in March unexpectedly, even though he was a Millwall fan, he loved Newcastle and would be just as happy with this news, and seeing me enjoying this. Life is just too short, and we're well overdue some good times at the club.

God I haven't been this excited in so fucking long. I've managed to not give a shit for years, so this feels so weird
-
What a delight it is to see that, man. Fuck me it's been a long ass time since I cared, this better all go through

Player manager gotta be
-
Can't wait to see him binned off, fucking horrible bloke
-
Fucking surely this is it man.

So can we helicopter around our living rooms yet or what?
-
What a pathetic, jealous, wretch of a human he is.
-
I mean, we're all still here aren't we?
-
Christ, what an utterly depressing comedown from the highs of the Euros, having to see reports of Bruce even talking as our manager still.

This for me has been the key takeaway from the tournament. My Dad passed in March after a very aggressive and rare form of lung cancer took hold (5 weeks since diagnosis to passing), and he adored football. Lifelong Millwall fan, but followed everything. Compared to myself, who has been totally jaded for the last few years, all down to NUFC goings on. So this tournament, I made a huge effort to watch every game, knowing my Dad would have been. And I loved it. As for last night, it's weird to feel so devastated after football again, but here we are. I'm disappointed Southgate was so defensive, and got tactically taken to school in the second half. He should have been braver, Grealish on sooner, as well as Sancho for Sterling, and who knows. Easy to say all this from my sofa

Cowardly selection, as usual.
-
Funnily enough, thought Pogba was a bit too clumsy for that offisde goal. But, in the main, he did have a good game. France should be going far this tournament, was a good performance.

Colback. Utter cunt. Total shit. Smith. Total shit. Butt. See above. Obertan. Speedboat without a driver. Shit. Simpson. That fucking throw in at Arsenal. Bellend. Hendrick. How is he a footballer? Ryan Taylor. Few good goals, but just played way too often. Williamson. Floated free kicks to him for about a century. Christ alive.

Didn't think I'd hate anyone more than Pardew, yet here we are so never rule it out
-
Imagine that fucking mess trying to tell you how to play football ffs.
-
If he could actually kick a football with more power than a five year old, he wouldn't be as bad. Still shit, but not entirely hopeless. His movement and strength is sometimes okay, he does find himself in decent positions as well on occasion. I mean, that's fairly standard for your average five a side player, but we are where we are

30 seconds left ffs what is the fucking point in making a sub now

This is so grim. Hanging on for our lives against West fucking Brom
