gol! 99th minute equaliser
-
go on then... when was the last time 3 Newcastle players started a competitive international for England?
-
Still something in this for us. We've looked much more dangerous the last 10 minutes.
-
Gordon's made the most sprints by miles as well. If nothing else we are really good at running
-
0-1 at HT. Southampton look decent tbf. Their midfield and defence are bullying us. I like Barker and pleased she's starting but not sure about her in central areas because of the physicality.
-
Real lack of composure and quality when we get the ball in their half.
-
can’t really understand why Boddy isn’t playing. Consistently looks like our best player to me and predictably we don’t look like we can string two passes together in midfield without her.
-
NUFC women are playing at 2pm tomorrow, which I think'll be on the app? But yeah, international breaks suck when we've been on a winning streak.

There is more room for the RCM to be involved if Willock is playing I think, as it often means the RCM has to sit deeper. Especially if teams try to mark Bruno out of the game as they often do. Longstaff attempted 48 passes vs Bruno's 38 in the last game for example.

Bellingham is peak MOTD player. Slightly better version of Charlie Adam.

The confidence Hall is playing with atm 🫡
-
Greek guy has made a couple of decent saves tonight
-
if he can learn to control the ball rather than it bouncing 5 yards straight back off him he’ll be some player
-
Madueke is lazy af defensively. Was a big issue for Chelsea against us.
-
there is obviously a really good player in Cherki. It'd probably be a bit like having another Ben Arfa where you wonder what could've been tbh. Even though he hasn't been playing every minute for Lyon this season he's way out in front for shot creating actions per 90 and expected assists per 90 across the whole league, and second for everyone's favourite metric expected threat.
-
he definitely looks fitter than he did earlier in the season, so yeah he’ll naturally have more pace available as a result
-
on my rewatch yesterday I noticed he played really well. He clearly loves having Willock in the team as it leaves him less isolated and it means he has someone to help him press high. Willock also plays so high up the pitch that it enables Isak to try to drop deeper and link play more… not everything came off for him but he was much more involved than usual. I feel like I owe Willock an apology. When he’s playing well, the way he plays is seemingly very important for us at the moment.
-
it’s funny though
-
he was the one negative today tbh. Looked knackered second half and poor technically throughout. Hopefully doesn’t play much against Greece or Ireland and gets a bit of a rest.

their fans already hate him afaict
