Most key passes per 90 of any centre back in the league so far this season. Most shot creating actions per 90 too, which has come from him nearly scoring from corners. I can see him getting a few goals for us because he's incredible in the air.

I thought he was good. He's a transition player really. Carries the ball really well. More than twice as many progressive carries as anyone else on the pitch with 19. For context Bruno was next with 8 and Almiron 3rd with 4. That's really valuable work that ASM usually does. He also had 10 carries into the opposition 18 yard box. From the rest of our team, only Fraser and Anderson managed 1 of these each.

I don’t think anything you’ve posted here is contrary to what I posted to be honest. He doesn’t get on the ball and in fact seems to actively avoid it given our decent possession numbers, and when he does eventually get the ball he does very little to progress play compared to our other players playing in the same system. I used this season because it’s the most relevant to the current system and we’ve had a decent amount of possession.
