  1. Not seen him try to dribble past a player all season, which is what he was so good at when he was playing well last season
  2. Just watched Livramento for their goal by the way… a shocking bit of decision making from him makes that a goal rather than an easily defendable situation.
  3. said it before they scored but really don’t get why we’re inverting Livramento. This is a player who is good at carrying the ball forwards and dribbling, not someone who can receive the ball with his back to goal in tight spaces and progress play with his passing. If we want to do that with a right back it really ought to be Trippier.
  4. it’s less about his pace and more about his discipline imo. Goes charging about way too often.
  5. Another counter attack and Bruno isn’t even in our own half to defend it.
  6. We started really well but it’s at risk of slipping away here again. Could do with a goal.
  7. we’re seeing why Hall is playing over Kelly here. Most of our play goes through him. 38/39 passes already.
  8. not sure about inverting Livramento. Doesn’t seem like the type to receive the ball with his back to goal.
  9. expected Longstaff to start but Barnes man…. he must be terrible in training
  10. he owes Howe a lot. His career would be nowt without him.
  11. Good to see the likes of Boddy still looking comfortable at this level
  12. he's looked vastly improved physically this season compared to last imo. He's getting to challenges much quicker. The rest will follow hopefully. It's clear to me he was playing with a pretty bad injury last season.
  13. I think Ten Hag seems to have sunk to a new level of tactical incompetency this season so far, and it's being exacerbated by asking completely unsuitable players to do things they can't do. Against Liverpool they were trying to build from the back with their two centre backs wide and both full backs pushed super far forward and tight to the touchline. Their progressions were entirely reliant on Casemiro being able to receive and play the ball forwards but a) he's never been good at this even in his prime and b) there were limited passing options because Mainoo isn't the best at showing for the ball and their full backs often had a Liverpool winger or 8 between them and the ball. When Casemiro inevitably lost the ball their full backs were miles out of position and they were constantly left defending 3v3 or 2v3 in their own third. Even Rodri would've been exposed having to play like that. Complete nonsense. When you listen to Slot talking after the game he'd identified exactly this from just their first few games and it was easy for them. Ugarte doesn't solve this issue either.
  14. Romero has to be one of the most overrated players of all time btw. He’s constantly responsible for conceding goals - both were mostly his fault on Sunday. Proper fraud.
  15. I’ve seen Burn visibly out sprint Awoniyi and Kulusevski this season. Ok these might not be quick players but Big Dan seems to have gotten faster over the summer.

    Harvey Barnes

it's mad how efficient he is like. It's 6 goals and 4 assists in 916 minutes / 10.2 90s in the league for us since he joined. If he can maintain a goal or assist every 90 minutes it's surely worth getting him in the team. Having said that Murphy is also really efficient tbf. 3 goals and 8 assists in 1305 minutes / 14.5 90s since the start of last season.
  17. think he’s done like a triple windsor hasn’t he? Just very badly . I’d go four-in-hand…
  18. Ten Hag’s tie knot put together even worse than his midfield ffs
