  1. Haven’t been for 10 years thanks to Ashley, so it’ll be no different for me.
  2. Only one game, but doesn’t seem suited to playing centrally. Excels in 1v1 situations and basically never gets that in the centre.
  3. Agreed for the most part, although I think he could be more influential. We are a much better team when he decides to play further forward with some positivity.
  4. Need to get higher up the field. Defence seems to want to line up on the 18 yard line all the time.
  5. Dubravka tbh. Most saves in the league.
  6. Change of shape is better for him too, like. I know it was against Man City but he was having to do way too much defending when we were playing 5-4-1 the other day and he was struggling for it.
  7. That was an example of why Bentaleb + Shelvey isn’t a long term solution. Just ran straight through them
  8. Would like Miggy to play higher up the field. He’s looked good when he’s had the ball, but he’s kind of screwed the shape up a bit. Bournemouth don’t even look like a professional team.
  9. Wonder what Burcey’s plan is when City inevitably score
  10. ASM has no business playing in a side like this.
  11. Was one of the best LBs in the league for a season or two. Lost all his energy/pace now.
  12. Nice read. Who knew that Danny Simpson of all people would be the one to understand HBA?
  13. I’m sorry like, but Delaney has perfectly valid points and seeing our fans pile in on him is all part of sportswashing. You can argue the whole #cans (eurgh) thing is about finally getting rid of Ashley, but when the same fans arguing that have Saudi flags in their Twitter handles it only reinforces his point, really.
  14. Thought it’d be interesting to look back at City and Chelsea’s transfers when they first got taken over: City - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/manchester-city/transfers/verein/281/saison_id/2008 Chelsea - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-chelsea/transfers/verein/631/saison_id/2003 There’s a right mixture. Interesting that Chelsea were taking players from Real, Inter and Man Utd and City from Real and Chelsea. Not sure what the parallels would be to the likes of Veron, Crespo, Makélélé and Robinho in today’s game.
  15. I know people are desperate to get rid of Ashley, but really? Criticising Amnesty for using their profile to highlight human rights abuses is just embarrassing, man.
  16. Can't say I'm as thrilled as everyone else seems to be about this. Ashley's bad, but he's at least he's not a war criminal/murderer.
  17. Comparing it to buying fuel for your car is daft. It’s not the same at all. Saudi investment in sport is purely political. They do it to improve their global reputation whilst they continue to commit atrocities and violate basic human rights. It’s pure sportswashing and I can’t support a club that is part of that. Mike Ashley’s practices might be bad, but they aren’t a scratch on the Saudis. I desperately want rid of him, but not if this is the answer.
