if the back four continues to function as it has recently then Howe won’t change it. Botman will only come back once we have an injury or bad run of form.

I had doubts about Sandro’s ability to play 6 due to this, but I don’t think the above data says anything seeing as it will be taken mostly from him playing as a high 8. Need to see this data again once he’s had a big enough sample playing as a 6.

Dunno, think there’ll be plenty of Prem teams who will value a player like him. Would improve most of the bottom half teams like Southampton Leicester, Man U etc.

I think we can get away with 5 for those positions for the rest of this season. Hall can play there if we need him to in an emergency as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if Longstaff leaves in January now. Howe seems keen to get Miley some game time.

I don’t think he’ll ever have the defensive awareness to do that. When I watch him it’s the glaring weakness in his game. Looks like a 10 to me.

there was a spell from minute 10-20 where Villa had some control without actually threatening at all. We had gained control back well before the red card.

I thought he was good and it’s really transformative having him playing there, but sometimes he was a bit slack with the ball today which was always my concern with him playing as a 6. He’s not been like that in recent games so hopefully it’s just a one off. He has to be really sure with his passing in the position he plays.
