Targett has knocked a couple of long balls in behind them that they haven’t been able to defend. Need to do more of that.
-
they’ve ruined football tbh
-
be offside this
-
would sell Gordon if we could get decent money for him in the summer. He’s not particularly good and he’s brainless.
-
really irritating that Baleba gets away with it
-
Tino looks done
-
Gordon’s been poor this half especially
-
it is sadly becoming increasingly apparent that Fab shouldn’t be starting for us anymore. It’s also pretty apparent that the club knows that though. He won’t be starting next season.
-
think we’ve done it really well to be honest. They’ve had one shot and we’ve had chances.
-
that’s pretty unlucky from Trips. 9/10 it goes out for a corner.
-
Minteh has a temper. Reckon we could get him sent off if we tried.
-
enjoying Joelinton in a kind of 4-4-2 press. Really suits his game.
-
thought he wasn’t going to give that for a minute
-
Brighton’s counter press is good and our ability to play out is not
-
do not pass the ball to Joelinton there for goodness sake
-
think our pressing structure looks pretty sound today.
-
that was probably a pen though Dan nowhere near the ball
-
extremely fussy refereeing

agreed to an extent but as you probably know I think there are more ways to control a game than just having lots of possession. When we are really good, at our peak, we control a game without the ball and I think that’s what Eddie sets the team out to do. So in a way we do go out to control games, it just doesn’t happen very much, sadly. Obviously it’s not just on them, but if the likes of Bruno and Tonali were A-tier midfielders they wouldn’t be getting battered by Fulham and Bournemouth, or not even getting anywhere near a midfield of Gravenberch-Mac Allister-Szoboszlai.
-
when you look at how rare it is for our midfield to actually control a game I really don’t see how you can put any of them in a world class bracket, like. Bruno and Tonali have the potential to get there but they’re miles off at the moment imo.
-
definitely potential to be A, but B for now. Only Isak has shown the consistency over a prolonged period to be A-worthy. Tonali is second in line though imo.

Jonjo, Geremi and Nicky Butt immediately come to mind

definitely up there with the slowest PL players I've seen. Konate just jogged past him with the ball at twice the speed the other night to the extent I got a bit of second hand embarrassment. There was one time that sticks in my head from last season where he and Longstaff were making a recovery run to challenge for the ball. Longstaff had almost twice the distance to cover and he just breezed past Bruno

we did get Murphy in behind them with a couple of really good positions for a cross tbf, should’ve done better one those. Again you feel like if Isak had been on the pitch it would’ve been different.
