  1. It’s an achievement for any team to be promoted into the premier league and stay there. Much less playing decent attractive football. I’ve got respect for any team and manager that achieves that. But that was last year. This one has been shite imo, as they/Bielsa simply haven’t got a ‘plan B’.
  2. All I’m saying is that ‘attack, attack, attack’ means fuck all when you’re about to be relegated and are getting humped every week. A truly world class manager would change things/his philosophy to accommodate the players he has at his disposal. I can see the appeal, and rate the first season he had…but teams have worked out his one dimensional style now, and to me, that’s a failure on his part.
  3. Condescending much? It’s my opinion. Plus see the comment above. It’s very close to it.
  4. They seem to be. “The most exciting team to watch in the premier league”?
  5. “I suspect the happy clappers won't like me daring to question any of what has been said but that's what I do. I'm very wary of new owners (stakeholders) offering pipe dreams to fans, it happens all the time. They've done some good things so far and some not so good things” “Read @GeorgeCaulkin superb interview with #nufc owners. I've a small issue with all the bold promises, not least riddle of how they can be like Man City, winning PL and CL contenders in 5 years and aim for gradual sustainable growth? Should not be over promising, it's dangerous” “They see "no reason" why they can't be like Man City in five years..., well I can think of several reasons why that is a very difficult to achieve. Winning the Premier League and reaching a Champions League final in five years... hmmm”
  6. I wouldn’t say they’re the most exciting team, other than they have conceded the most goals in a single month.
  7. I know. But folk are going on about Bielsa like it’s the second coming of Keegan. I don’t see the attraction in all honesty.
  8. Yeah, it seems that way now. But Raphinha was bought for a loss from Rennes from what they purchased him for. It was a gamble at the time. Compare those figures to our own prior to the last transfer window.- they’ve spent more than us.
  9. Getting spanked 6-0, 4-0 week in/out suggests that he hasn’t done an ‘excellent’ job at all. Just because they attack at all costs, means nothing if they end up relegated. Imo.
  10. That they have Stockholm Syndrome and don’t know any better?
  11. Bielsa has spent more than I thought at Leeds- Rodrigo 30m, Llorente 20m, Raphinha 18m, Costa 18m, James 29m, Firpo 15m, Harrison 13m, Koch 13m- all without bringing any cash in via sales of players in return.
  12. Nah. They wanted him to replace Coman but he’s signed a new contract now.
  13. Just read that Bielsa is the 4th highest paid manager in the league on £8m p/a. Fucking hell.
  14. Luckily for him, he’s only there on loan. Unlike Dele Alli.
  15. The rules haven’t changed for him since he purchased the club. As stated, he’s currently not under any sanctions.
  16. No reason why he can’t bankroll them as usual. He’s still the owner after all. This is just about long term decision making.
  17. He can sell if he wants. He’s not listed under sanctions. Whether anyone would buy them in the current market at the price he’d want, is a different matter. As for ‘Russia’, he’s in a protracted legal case after being called “Putin’s ATM” in a book, and he was also named by MPs on Tuesday as being one of 35 oligarchs identified by Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny as one of the 'key enablers' of the 'kleptocracy' run by the country's president Vladimir Putin. He might not be ‘Russia’, but he’s certainly got extremely strong links to Putin. edit- it’s been stated that he doesn’t want to sell.
  18. of course they don’t. As per The Athletic: “Chelsea’s debt to Roman Abramovich now exceeds £1.5 billion, spanning the Russian’s 18-year ownership of the Premier League club. Annual accounts for Fordstam Limited for the financial year ending June 30, 2021 confirm that the oligarch poured a further £19.9 million of interest-free loans into Chelsea FC plc’s parent company last season, underlying the club’s continued reliance upon the Russian’s backing. Chelsea, hampered by the financial ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic which largely condemned football behind closed doors throughout last season, recorded a pre-tax loss of £155.9 million for the year, despite being crowned European champions for the second time in their history in May. Fordstam Limited, with its registered address of Stamford Bridge, is owned by Abramovich and serves as Chelsea FC plc’s parent company. Its funding is ploughed into Chelsea FC plc as equity, and then on to the football club itself — Chelsea Limited — again as equity, to cover any cash losses sustained. Fordstam’s latest accounts note that funding “is provided by the ultimate controlling party, Mr R Abramovich” in the form of an interest-free loan. The accounts add: “The Group (Fordstam’s subsidiary undertakings) has received an increase in funding of £19.9 million during the last financial year”. That is mirrored in Chelsea FC plc’s accounts.”
  19. Just means he still owns them but that he won’t be making any hands on decisions…. *cough* bullshit *cough* means fuck all and don’t know why it’s being made such a fuss of.
  20. ‘Transference of stewardship and care’ is nothing like the actual transference of ownership rights
  21. Makes no odds at the moment, as he’s not listed under the sanctions. Think this is to head off any future issues. It’s just transferring business ownership into the names of others/other companies, but he’ll still be residing in the background- he has to be, as his companies are funding the club. Without him, they’re fucked.
