Shame one of the best English managers of the last 100 years is currently employed, else it’d be a shoe-in, I’m sure.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

But…but…it’s only because he got given £92m to spend. Bruce got nothing. -
Or think where we’d be if they’d allowed it in the summer, with the extra transfer window and pre season.

Kick off delayed with heavy traffic in Brighton

Correctly ruled out for an offside

Surely it will be, with increased clamour/demand for tickets? The more fans that get to see the team live, the better, no? 60-65k, as suggested, is about right capacity imo. Know you’re talking about fans perspective, but from the club side, they’ll want increased capacity for a number of reasons too.

With the negative ‘reference’ from Rafa, more than likely!

For all his faults, Roy Keane wasn’t too shabby either.

Been in Monaco as part of his rehab to return for the Brentford game, according to The Times.

He’s English. He was available to play for both Ukraine and Russia, but can’t now change allegiance, despite Ukraine wanting him to. per his wiki page: “Kilman made his debut for the England national futsal team at the age of 18. He went on to accumulate 25 caps for the Three Lions. Kilman's futsal career was put on hiatus when he signed for Wolves in August 2018. He was also eligible to play international football for Russia or Ukrainethrough his parents. In March 2021, Ukraine coach Andriy Shevchenko announced that he had formally asked FIFA to switch Kilman's national allegiance to Ukraine, but also enquired of them as to whether his appearances for the England futsal team would make him ineligible for Ukraine. On 7 April 2021, FIFA rejected the application, confirming that his appearances for England in competitive futsal matches ties him to playing for England in any form of football.”

rumours starting on RTG regarding KLD trying to sell his share of the club and jump ship. ?? Coincidentally, Billy Storey says his move for the club is gaining pace…?

Think he’ll walk before being pushed, personally.

Chelsea for Arnesen. “When news of this emerged in June 2005, followed by pictures of Arnesen meeting Abramovich on his yacht in the south of France, the simmering tensions between the two clubs rushed to the boil. Levy was furious and Spurs threatened to report Chelsea to the Premier League for allegedly approaching Arnesen directly rather than going through them. Chelsea denied the accusation and released a statement saying: “Chelsea Ltd made an official approach to Tottenham Hotspur for permission to speak to Frank Arnesen two weeks ago. Chelsea Ltd has been in direct discussions with Tottenham for the last two weeks on this subject.” The incident was especially pertinent at the time as it came just days after the club and Mourinho had been fined £500,000 for illegally approaching Arsenal defender Ashley Cole. They had also been given a suspended sentence of a three-point deduction if they committed the same offence (though it related only to players rather than executives). Spurs suspended Arnesen and intense negotiations between the two clubs followed, with Levy walking out of a meeting with Kenyon as the two discussed appropriate compensation. Eventually, Chelsea agreed to pay Tottenham a compensation package of about £8 million, while Arnesen was put on gardening leave until the end of the transfer window. Arnesen was actually made to work right up until the end of his time at Spurs, and even on his last day in the job, he signed the papers to complete the signing of Grzegorz Rasiak from Derby County. The incident left a bitter taste. Spurs were enraged that their entire structure had been upended but there was a feeling at Chelsea that Levy had been opportunistic in pushing for such a high compensation fee (an accusation Spurs have always vehemently denied, feeling their stance was entirely warranted).”

No difference. Compensation paid in lieu of gardening leave for a contract, irrespective of actual position.

Athletic say “It is thought that Ashworth's notice period could even run through this summer's transfer window and into next season.” edit- from here… https://theathletic.com/news/brighton-holding-out-for-significant-compensation-to-let-dan-ashworth-join-newcastle-early/zNCog2zMXAd4/?amp=1

This guy (BBC) says ‘substantial’ leave (6 months+).

I was just going off this tweet:

When he’s legally allowed to sign a contract, I’d guess. Not for a while therefore, presumably, given he’s on ‘gardening leave’ (rumoured to be 9 months by some) and therefore still currently under contract/employed by Brighton.

He’s technical director, the same as Ashworth is likely to be.

No. Astronomical wages for lack of drive and application of his sometime talent. Not that I’d think his ego would even entertain the prospect currently anyway. Real or PSG bound methinks.
