But will claim 35000 due to ‘season cards’ sold…

    Sunderland

Lewsing 1-0, and all other results currently going against them- they’re down to 8th.
  3. Heroes and villains (but you have to sign up to get all the forum, including the ‘other teams’ part).
  4. No probs at all. Seko is a DM who used to be owned by Man City. Wesley is more a CB who can play in DM I think. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seko_Fofana he’s been linked with us a fair bit: https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2022/newcastle-make-seko-fofana-their-top-summer-target/
  5. Seko plays for Lens. The Fofana at Leicester is Wesley ?
  6. Still linked with Seko Fofana aren’t we? Can definitely see us signing a specialised DM to allow Bruno to maraud up and down the pitch.
  7. Nope, I wouldn’t want him either. I want our team/signings to be young and hungry, and to be able to grow and evolve with the club rather than come for one last payday for a year or two.
  8. https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/19976493.newcastle-talks-matt-targett-boubacar-kamara/ latest news is that we are interested but a deal isn’t agreed at all.
  9. Coutinho hasn’t been out of form- when he’s played he’s been very good. He’s just been injured and therefore seen as a waste of money for his high wages. Hazard has been injured but it’s also well publicised he doesn’t look after himself off the pitch, leading to weight and fitness issues
  10. Lol. He hasn’t been fit for years man. And when he does play, he’s not very good. Definitely on a downward trajectory.
  11. DCL is on £72k pw according to a few websites, with a contract until 2025. I’d hope we don’t bring him in- think we can do much better.
  12. Nah. For the money they’d want, it’s a pointless signing imo, given he’s 31 in a few weeks time. He’d have done a cracking job if we’d signed him in January, but I think that would’ve been solely to keep us up. I’m the summer I think we’ll be looking longer term with respect to signings.
  13. Another problem (since they resigned him, in all honesty). Goals at the start of the season doesn’t mask the fact he’s clearly a negative influence in the dressing room, and on the pitch. Won’t be there next season, for sure- both parties will want away from each other I reckon.
  14. Tenth most expensive defender of all time (I think?). He was the sixth when he signed.
  15. Maybe, but who’s to say? I can’t see it being anytime soon. Im sure PIF will want a ‘Western’ presence in the club rather than put their own figureheads in to fill positions, and Reuben seems to prefer a background place. edit- plus, although they’ve purchased as a business transaction, I also feel that there is definitely an affinity and connection to the club/fans, and they won’t relinquish their 10% in a hurry as a result.
  16. Be with the club? They’re not exactly employees, given they’re also Co-owners.
  17. Van Gaal, Flick, Mancini (Deschamps?) are all better than Gareth, imo. edit- Luis Enrique too.
  18. Think the latest rumours involve a consortium of billionaires making a move for Chelsea. Wyss, Boehly etc, all worth around £5bn individually. Abramovich himself ‘only’ has a net worth of around £10bn.
  19. Allardyce- 100% win record….
  20. I don’t think the club own it directly? This suggests not (i think?): https://footballpredictions.net/blog/do-chelsea-own-stamford-bridge “However, the main stumbling block for any potential departure from Stamford Bridge for a new ground is the contents of the Chelsea Pitch Owners’ remit. As part of their freehold of the stadium, they also own the rights to the name “Chelsea Football Club”. In practice, this means that Chelsea would have to change their name if they were to permanently move away from The Bridge. In a bid to overcome this, the club made an attempt to take back control of the freehold from the Chelsea Pitch Owners in 2011 but the sale of the land was rejected by the group’s shareholders.”
  21. Sky reports Abramovich turned down a bid of £2.5bn earlier this week, as he wants £3bn. Fucking hell. No way are they worth anywhere near that imo, even taking into account his £1.5bn loan. (Unless he’s maybe including his £152m London house in the sale…)
  22. Greed. Or the knowledge that at some point, the facts will catch up with him and he’ll be outed as shit and won’t ever work again, so is getting the cash whilst people are still stupid enough to pay him.
  23. He simply has to keep moving or else the bacon grease will accumulate to fatberg levels in his body. or maybe he feels responsible for the Steves and their mortgages.
