Sky sports transfer centre had two agents text the presenter whilst on screen, that NUFC are interested in signing two other strikers on top of Joelinton. Mbwanna Samatta from Genk, top scorer in the Belgium league last year, born in Tanzania, aged 26. Also Jean-Phillipe Mateta, French striker from FC Mainz, scored 13 last year, aged 22.

No one mentioned Hula Hoops yet? Flavoured inside AND out! Salt and vinegar for the win.

Need it to be a Pardew type for maximum outrage. However Ashley knows this and will appoint some up and comer and our donut fans will be like "wey lets give him a chance". Bruce for me. Plus Ashley would try to spin it as giving us what we want with a ‘returning Geordie’. Called it on the 2nd- it was too obvious! Lol!

Currently three hours ahead, during summertime, so it’s nearly 1pm. Plenty of time yet....not that I’m expecting anything.

Yep, same with Maguire. Will be a similar sort of fee. They’ve turned down 70m for Maguire today from Man Utd. Hence the debate. Hence why one poster said it’ll be a similar size of fee for around 70m, and my comment was about it needing more than that? So....errrr...wouldn’t be similar? I understand about having a debate on the sale price, but I was pointing it out that it will take more money than Van dijk. Hence my comment.

He’s got to take the training sessions now we have no coaches? Or maybe delivering pizza to the squad?

IF the statement IS bad news, I just hope that somewhere within it they manage to fit in ‘tyre kicker’.

“BZG have engaged tirelessly with Mr Ashley over a period of several months in order to bring the purchase of Newcastle United Football Club Ltd to a successful conclusion. However, during these discussions, we have noted a continuous shifting of the goalposts by the current owner, and as such have realised that a sale would only be concluded once Mr Ashley has passed from this Earth. As such, and with that minor detail in mind, given the total support vociferously and unanimously voiced by the fans, measures are currently in place to remove the obstacle to our successful purchase, and to conclude the deal as quickly as possible in order to appoint a world class manager, and in order to invest significant funding to both the infrastructure and the team.”

Quite a few folk on Facebook are saying they saw it by chance but also have Twitter notifications and it didn’t show. I think it got deleted pretty quickly.

Does that sound before or after the Brett Emerson one?
-
Yep. Bloody hope so....

Roy Keane leaving Forest and wanting a managers job without anything lined up ‘at the present time’....coincidence? At least he’ll have the balls and attitude to say it how it is! And hopefully knock Ashley’s head clean off. As much as I’m joking about this appointment, it really wouldn’t surprise me if he’s the extent of what we’re looking at the replace Rafa.

Caulkin is straight down the line, he's one of the best covering us. Then if he knows there are other interested parties, name them. Perhaps he doesn’t want to, in order to keep his source ‘sweet’ and provide him with further details down the line. It might not be worth his while or best interests to release the name when he could get further things to divulge later. At least he’s saying SOMEthing though, and has been on the money most times previously, as well as taking no bullshit from the club or Ashley.

Literally nothing has changed This. Old quotes in the Chron, a rehashed article in the Sun, nothing new at all, and some bloke who may be a lawyer, but might be on the wind up giving thumbs up emojis to all and sundry. Who the fuck knows?!

only started last summer after the fans booted off no? Getting a brand new stadium with an extra 25k seats for pretty much free probably helps as well aye i was taking issue with the "every summer" bit, prior to last summer they weren't spending loads iirc According to transfermarkt, the season before they bought Arnautovic for £20m+, and Chicarito for £16m (Although making an overall net profit). The summer before THAT, they spent £75m (Ayre for £21m+), and recouped 36m. Hardly a major splash in the modern game though is it? They have also posted a profit the last couple of years, so they are hardly mortgaging the farm. For all the shit the owners get (and they are odious people) - they run it well from a commercial sense. No doubt not plastering it for free with their own companies advertising might help. think it was a few things combined wasn't it, such as having a shite manager...selling ayew one year after signing him to fund arnautovic or whatever, fans booted off wanting a change of direction and got it If only we had shite managers, selling Merino a year later, fans protesting....I wish we had made anywhere near such minor splashes....they’ve broken our current transfer record a few times in the last few years. Fucking West Ham man. Sorry, getting annoyed, and it’s fucking Ashley to blame yet again!

If we’re gonna purchase any Thuram, I’d prefer a cheeky bid for Kephren?
-
Only if we have a manager other than Rafa, no? If he’s still here, then I’d presume he’d have been working on targets, availability etc, to every possible level.

bournemouth sign Lloyd Kelly from Bristol City for 13m. England u21 defender.

Charnley wages have now doubled in the latest report, to over 300k. He must be doing an exceptional job....

The fact Rondon is going to be 30 at the start of the season will surely count against us signing him permanently, unless Rafa is given full control over the signings?
