Villa 2-4 Leicester

Grabbed Will Hughes around the throat. ‘Just’ the standard violent conduct I think.
-
Aye, I know. Just could think of the word for the scenario that would get him another game on top!
-
Only three PL games. Leeds twice and Leicester. Hopefully he gets an extra game for the violent conduct or something.
-
Casemiro off here?

Wolves 2-0 Liverpool

Scousers losing to Wolves

I’m not saying there was an issue for the club, just stating the facts, and my opinion at the end which I believe doesn’t reflect very well on the player and his judgment. Hardly a sackable issue though. Like any young kid, he’s just got a bit of growing up to do- hopefully that won’t involve any more police incidents whilst he’s employed with us.
-
He wasn’t stopped whilst with Everton. The vehicle was flagged for speeding etc presumably by a static speed camera. When the police visited the owner (Gordon), he refused to say who was driving at the time of the speeding offence- whether it was him, his girlfriend, or Joe Bloggs from Birkenhead who he’d lent the car to. Bit of a dick thing to do, and not take responsibility personally, or else tell the truth about who was driving.
-
And still left him out of their CL squad

“Still, following Ashley at Rangers and now joining him at Newcastle. Is there really no relationship? “The truth is there’s none,” Beahon says, willing to address the question but frustrated this connection lingers. “Ashley is not a shareholder in Castore. The Reuben Brothers aren’t investors. The answer is definitively no. I have all of my investors’ numbers, I know them on a first-name basis, and I don’t have Ashley’s number in my phone. We’ve partnered with Rangers and Newcastle because of the opportunity, the potential upside, and it’s nothing to do with Ashley.” So, categorically, this is not a way of Ashley still having a back-door route into Newcastle if he sells? There is no involvement with Castore? “No,” Beahon says firmly. “Absolutely none.”” https://theathletic.com/2693219/2021/07/08/castore-founder-explains-newcastle-kit-deal-mike-ashley-links-pricing-and-getting-fans-excited-again/?access_token=8349337&redirected=1

I don’t agree, but hey ho. Greenwood’s damages by paying up his contract would extent to more than his basic wage. He’s been dropped by some sponsors but would still expect to benefit from Man Utd sponsors as well as any that have stuck by him as a premiership footballer. I just don’t think it’s be as easy as paying up what’s owed for the duration. You obviously know more than me though.
-
Played for Cooper at Swansea. Obviously still compares him to that time when he could do a job.
-
A contract is a two way thing. One party can’t just pay up for the remainder of the duration without it being agreed by both sides or unless there’s a specific clause which states it’s possible. (See also, Castore shirts with NUFC).
-
She might have admitted to an offence in interview which would count towards the evidence and make a successful prosecution more likely. Greenwood probably denied everything or made no comment.
-
Legal minefield to terminate a contract when legally he hasn’t broken any law- just can’t see that happening. Obviously won’t be able to move until summer anyway?
-
“Rules on U21 players Under-21 players are eligible over and above the limit of 25 players per squad. Each player is assigned a squad number, which they wear during Premier League matches. For the 2022/23 campaign Under-21 players will have been born on or after 1 January 2001.” https://www.premierleague.com/news/102383 maybe if he hasn’t got a squad number?
-
He’s under the age limit (was 21 in Oct) so doesn’t have to be registered in their 25 man squad.
-
They either sell him, or play him. Given he’s been suspended, in prison, not training etc etc, I can’t see him being fit to play for a while yet so maybe they’ll try and drag out him not playing until the summer when they can try and get a price for him
-
Maybe. Just think the club would get hardly any fee for him now tbh, despite not going to court.
-
Can’t see it. Sadly, he’s seen as a valuable commodity to his club and hasn’t been found guilty of anything, so technically there’s zero reason for them to get rid. I personally hope that no club ever takes him on ever again, but he’d have a good legal case to sue if they tried to get rid of him. Even convicted rapists have been given contracts at clubs again.
