  1. There’s still 26 hours left…??
  2. Since the Boehly takeover, if the Enzo deal goes ahead, Chelsea have: - spent £600.4m on 18 players - spent £373.1m more than the second largest spenders, Man Utd - spent just £5m less than the whole of the Bundesliga - recouped just £49m on player sales
  3. Benfica won’t entertain any bids below the full release clause. Hell of a lot of money though.
  4. Gordon gives us options across all three forward positions. We’ve still got Isak and Wilson. Did you want a like for like replacement? Big Wout?
  5. Should be? A lot of sources say £35-40m should do it?
  6. Plus they’ve been playing Ake at LB of late and he’s done pretty well I think?

Don’t care either way but just stating it’s a step up for Kuol, and given he wasn’t even starting regularly in Australia, it’s doubtful he’ll be starting too often in Scotland until he adjusts and improves.

True, but most recent articles can’t even name the A-league anywhere near the Scottish premiership https://www.globalfootballrankings.com (a-league isn’t mentioned as it only goes up to 30th in the world- SPL is 17th). https://thefootballlovers.com/best-football-leagues-in-the-world-ranking/ (A-league isn’t in the 50 stated. SPL is 14th)

“Australia's A-League has been ranked worse than national soccer leagues in Zimbabwe, Zambia and the Congo. The competition came in at number 99 on the International Federation of Football History and Statistics' annual list of the world's 125 strongest leagues, down from 52nd last year. The rankings, produced annually since 1991, are based on club results from national and intercontinental competitions.” https://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-02-07/a-league-ranked-worlds-99th-best/5246348

    Anthony Gordon

Same thread as you. No one was talking about him fighting with Trippier etc other than if he joined there might be words said between them (as a joke, I’d presumed). All the negativity was about him being a diver, whinging at fouls against him, and having no end product.

I think more people were stating he has a lack of end product on the pitch rather than bemoan his ‘fighting’ attitude.
  12. Hasn’t been the same player since his Achilles rupture imo

12 hour flight time on commercial. Less via private jet.
  15. Palace buying a Stuttgart midfielder probably rules Gallagher out to them, if he was moving this window. edit: MF is Naouirou Ahamada

  17. Be a summer transfer, if he comes. Zero need right now

Means fuck all. Plenty of big teams lose in pre season against supposedly much smaller teams. 2006, Real Madrid lost to Plymouth Argyle for fucks sake. Hibernian beat Arsenal only a year or two ago, and Man City lost to Dundee. Juventus drew with Notts County too.
  19. Issue with Tielemans is that it’s likely he’s going to want to wait until the summer to get his signing on bonus etc, even if we agree a price with Leicester.
  20. Kephren Thuram, Alan Varela, Edson Alvarez, Moises Caicedo, Milinkovic-Savic, McTominay, Fofana, Neves
  21. Manu Kone is one, although more a midfielder who can play DM.
  22. ITK status? You’ll be getting head hunted by the Telegraph!

He played 9 games in the Australian league this season, and 9 the season before. Anyone thinking he was going to come to Europe and tear it up immediately is just crazy. It’s a massive culture shock, change in footballing standard, as well as the fact he’s simply barely played in his career thus far, as a young lad. Hopefully he’ll develop well- he’s certainly got some good attributes- but it’s going to take time, patience, as well as application on both his part and that of the club to make sure he’s got a chance of fulfilling his potential.
