https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11327141/Jorginho-demanding-150-000-week-stay-Chelsea-contract-expiring-summer.html he’s supposedly on £120kpw and wanted £150kpw to stay at Chelsea.
-
Which is why I don’t think Howe will sign him. I think it’s just media/agent talk.
-
Jorginho is a good player in the right system where they play a patient passing game like Chelsea, but I just don’t think he’s suited to Howes pressing/fitness game. Experience counts for nothing unless he would pass that on to the younger players like Trippier does- just can’t see that leadership/senior player role in him to justify the signing.
-
Which we’d have to purchase anyway in 2 or 3 years time when Jorginho retires or can’t play anymore. Or else we can get a player for cheaper with the potential of Jorginho and develop him to fit our style and ethos.
-
If he’s 34 when his potential contract with us expires, it means we’ll be wasting money on an aged player who is keeping a better younger player out of the team. I’m all for wise old heads in the team/squad (Trippier etc), but can’t see that level of leadership from Jorginho to justify the wages/age etc.
-
Just can’t see Jorginho fitting into Howes energetic, aggressive, all action pressing. His age is going to count against that very soon. This, and wages, make it a non starter for me.
-
Not to mention he’s already 31, and the owners have already stated they want to bring the squad age down.
-
Depends if they stump up the cash I reckon. He clearly wants to go there and it seems they want him, but at the moment, reports say they’re quite far away from making the right offer to his club.

Sounds like it’s a boy, yes. She wrote on IG: “When God chose you to be the father of my children, you gave me the greatest blessing of my life. I have no words to express my gratitude and happiness. You are undoubtedly the best in the world on and off the field!!! And to you my son, the heart of your brothers and the whole family is full of love waiting for you, come strong!!!"

Nope. Brazilian. Been together since they were teenagers, and got two kids together.

Hmmm…Transferasaurus has 5600 followers. Seems legit…

I’m sure the club want Karius to stay. His loan ends at the end of this month, so we’ll soon know.
-
He also said “lumpy” ?
-
Twitterati said a €100m bid was made by an unnamed club. A Portuguese newspaper has said that it was us, and that Benfica believe we (or other clubs) will pay his full release clause value. Nothing substantial at all.
-
We’ve got a lot of interest in the young Spanish RB lad, Ivan Fresneda, too.
-
I’m saying opposite- he’ll stay with Arsenal.
-
Selling youth players counts towards FFP income, but I don’t think currently that purchasing them does, which is why the likes of Chelsea and Man City have previously stockpiled countless numbers and loaned them out for years before selling them.

What’s this debt? Edit- nevermind, found it: “Chelsea’s new owners are raising roughly UK£800 million (US$957 million) of debt as they bid to reshape the running of the English soccer giants, according to the Financial Times (FT). The consortium led by US billionaire Todd Boehly completed its UK£4.25 billion (US$5.08 billion) takeover of the Premier League club at the end of May. The group is now looking to implement a financial plan to boost the Blues’ operations and update the Stamford Bridge stadium. Bank of America and JPMorgan are among the banks said to be involved with the financing. The financing arrangements consist of a roughly UK£300 million (US$359 million) revolving credit facility and a UK£500 million (US$598 million) term loan. This would eclipse the reported US$650 million raised by City Football Group (CFG), the owner of English soccer champions Manchester City, back in July 2021 to invest in its network of clubs. As part of the consortium’s UK£4.25 billion Chelsea takeover, UK£1.75 billion (US$2.09 billion) was allocated to invest in the club, including players, talent academies and the stadium. The new loan would reportedly form part of the commitment, while the revolving credit facility is for working capital purposes. The investment pledge was critical to meeting the terms set by Chelsea’s previous owner Roman Abramovich, who put the West London club up for sale after Russia invaded Ukraine. The UK government sanctioned Abramovich in March, accusing him of close links to Vladimir Putin. The terms of the sale also included restrictions on debt levels to protect the club. According to the FT, Chelsea will not bear any of the interest expense associated with the debt because of the structure of the financing and all proceeds will go into the business.”
-
The money doesn’t go to Abramovich though, does it? Plus the sale price included a set amount for redeveloping the ground (£1.5bn or something similar?), so I’d presume that just gets ploughed into the club.

1kg is loads…Aguero got dropped for being 100g over, allegedly…. 'If your ideal weight is 79-80kg and you were 80 kilos and 100 grams you would be fined and you don't play,' Aguero said. 'But it can happen! You come across a little bit of chicken for example then you are going to be 50 grams over!' But did Guardiola really banish Aguero, who left Man City having scored 184 Premier League goals, to the bench over 100 grams? 'Well the first season we were between fourth and third and he said I left you out because you turned up fat this week". And what was I going to say? He was right… these things happen.’

Wonder if a song about the size of his dick would improve his mental health any?

Don’t think so? Southampton and Tranmere?
-
Also: Wood 17 appearances, 2 goals Isak 3 appearances, 2 goals Wilson 12 appearances, 6 goals ASM 9 appearances, 1 goal
-
Maybe. Fuck knows. Just thankful as fuck that the whole shoddy operation has been replaced with competence and ambition.

Don’t think it was control by Ashley as such- just that there was hardly anyone (at all?) employed to do the job. The odd tweet that did get released was probably by Charnley by mistake in his efforts to work the fax machine…
