Haven’t seen much of Joao Pedro honestly, but looking at his FBRef it doesn’t look so hot, although his defensive play as a forward is extremely good. Another ST turned midfield in the works? Either way, not the most inspiring signing but we need bodies and if that’s what we can get… Well it’s what we can get

After seeing Danny Simpson get a premier league medal, I think anything is possible! But I do agree, even with Paqueta our squad as a whole is not strong enough to get in to top six, add a RW and ST with Paqueta and we will definitely be able to do some serious damage if the signings step up like our January signings.

If you like Lucas Paqueta and getting goals home and away sign this mad lad up. I dream of an all Brazilian midfield Bruno slicing the defense open, Paqueta latching on and Big Joe just making sure he gets through, the dream right there.

Then the pessimist in me would ask is it despite of or due to? And I would say it is despite of him playing. Admittedly it would be the best thing if he could suddenly play a part time role when we shit bricks as Wilson is out, but I would feel much better if we signed an actual striker that could take over from Wilson at some point.

Agree, there is not enough quality in the full squad, and Wilson will get injured and it’s back to the kiwi plank up top. And god forbid we get an injury on Bruno G. We lack more threat and that showed against Nottingham. Total domination but poor final third of the pitch. It’s obvious that we need a ST be it young talent or whatever to take the spot when Wilson goes injured and a RW that can instantly improve the final third, then we can start talking about trying to get 6th-7th. with what we have now and thinking about our injury luck we are bang on 10th

Probably won’t be able to do madlad seasons like he did in Bundesliga due to better defenders, but he still has attributes that work well, especially if he gets played from the right to cut in or left. Every time he did so for Chelsea he was a threat. So the question then becomes, can Howe make his pace and passing a huge threat? I think so at least. Just seems like same problem that manu has had where the manager hasn’t utilized the player and assets correctly, especially now with Sancho until Ten Hag came. I don’t think he will be able to score as much as the crazy seasons in Germany but he definitely has the ability’s to become a huge threat, especially for us.

Oh yeah, I forget about how unfit he was during the time. But yeah, the list is extensive over players they could not make work. Still absurd to think that they could not make Crespo play well.

If anyone can get the best out of Werner I would think its Howe - The way he has turned around some of the worst performers (Krafth, Big Joe) and made them work as real players gives me the belief that having a front three of ASM - Wilson - Werner until Wilson sadly gets injured would be a very strong attacking force.

Echoing the statements. Everyone bar Ritchie doesn’t look out of place. But man that RW with Ritchie is an extreme weakness that needs to be sorted. Both ST and RW need to be in place before it shuts.

From a sporting viewpoint, when we start getting our new facilities for training and youth setup, I think that it will show players that this is a long term project that aims at competing at the highest level, some players definitely would also like to try to get in on it early as long as its sold correctly to the player (Botman, Bruno G). It is amazing how we have fast tracked from just being there to starting to become a well run organization that hopefully will reap benefits in the upcoming years. But, of course I would like to see some truly amazing talent line up with the two mentioned already. And with Trippier being some sort of ambassador for us in some regards it looks like a bright future. But as most people I want to see the progress faster, even though I know it wont . Here's to hoping we get that RW and pressing forward we need and punch like West Ham last season!

There is no doubt in my mind that Cornet or Sarr would do a great job as stepping stone players. We will need bodies in the future and If they can carry us upwards to be able to sign even better players next season again whilst keeping them as squad players. If we get one of them and a pure pressing forward it will be quite the upgrade. Especially if Miggy has found himself again like Big Joe. EDIT: Im getting fucking desperate for a signing hit though
