Saw JWP described as a modern day Rory Delap and don’t think that’s a million miles off. Solid 6/7 out of 10 every week in a mid-table side but absolutely terrifying from set-plays.

Arsenal’s front three is so good. The pace and power of Joelinton and Willock should be able to get at Jorginho and Xhaka though.

I’m guessing that means Joelinton, Bruno and Willock in the middle?

If we can get an early lead in this Arsenal could crumble. It mentally can’t be easy for them throwing their title advantage away and if we can get an advantage early with a crowd that’s up for it then they might fold like they did last season. Would be pleased with a point.

I feel like I’m in the minority of being quite relaxed about this. It’s in our hands and we’ll finish top 4 if we deserve it. It’s not like before when we’re lingering at the bottom of the table hoping 3 teams are worse. If Liverpool claw it back and we can’t get 7 more points or whatever it is then fair play to them. It would feel like a disappointment at the time but even the Europa League would be massive for our development. I still think we’ll get top 4 mind.

I still can’t decide how Potter is viewed after all of this. Is he to blame for destroying Tuchel’s work or are these players absolutely dire?

I’m still on the fence about Gordon. I didn’t want to sign him at all but the lad deserves time. Surely people have to learn something from slagging Joelinton, Murphy, Longstaff etc. He’s still so young and I’m sure he’ll improve.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Liverpool win all of their remaining games.

I’m half taking the piss but there is a difference. We’re not a Bruce team anymore. Going behind doesn’t mean inevitable defeat. I wouldn’t write this team off 1-0 behind v anyone with 45mins to go. Complaining we’ve been shit is fine. Having a meltdown is a bit OTT.

1-0 down and would not be surprised at all to see us turn this around mind. We get even close to our usual levels and we could blow these away. Would like to get Anderson for Gordon though.

Despite the Big Joe, Little Joe, left side combo being one of our strongest areas I’d be tempted to start Gordon in this to give Joelinton a rest - we’re going to need him in the run in and if he’s carry a hamstring issue surely it’s be better to rest him. I think we’ll scrape a nervy win today 2-1

Disappointed we haven’t got back in for Pedro given what I’ve read and seen from him. I quite liked the idea of adding to our Brazilian contingent too. It could be another one of those brilliant bits of Brighton transfer business.
