  1. Might be a new rule, just going off this article https://www.premierleague.com/en/news/4504230/why-newcastle-will-wear-third-kit-for-tyne-wear-derby
  2. I think it's a premier league rule, we both have white stripes therefore it's considered a colour clash.

The players can't really be anything other than diplomatic in this situation because if they say what we want them to say then the press either get to run non stop Isak feud stories to keep the engagement bait going for another few weeks or they bring out their pre prepared gotcha response with regards Wissa and make it look like he's indirectly criticising his new teammate.

From what I can remember of the interview he was basically saying it would still be between the club and the agent to determine what realistic means, but that a lot more attention would have to be paid towards it from the players side to make sure it wasn't something daft like 250m the way some of them are currently.

The amount we paid for him I don't think the price we ended up getting would have been considered unreasonable as a release clause imo.

I watched a clip of Mark Chapmans podcast with Lassana Diarra's lawyer (think it was posted in here) in which he said in the future mandatory release clauses might have to be introduced similar to La Liga but with more realistic numbers to give the player an out and also to protect clubs from a legal standpoint against players going on strike or threatening to rip up contracts due to them agreeing the number in advance.
  7. Quick Google AI says footballers equivalent corporate rank would be company director so that makes him fair game to me.
  8. The delay is probably because our offer was cash upfront and they're wanting to pay on tick.

  10. If we're bringing in a DOF surely he wouldn't be getting access to the chequebook anyway.
  11. Noticed this too, absolutely no chance Bruce came up with that.
  12. Surely the only thing that would get there attention would be everyone cancelling their Sky and BT sports packages in protest, which considering we can't even empty out the stadium for one game seems unlikely to happen. I've cancelled mine anyway, back to streaming sites for me.
