I've heard rumour that NUST,The Mag and the NUFC.COM boys have all been covertly invited into the inner sanctum of SJP very recently. It will be very interesting to see if there is a mellowing of views from those invited. Otherwise will any reveal the purpose of said visit? Huh, interesting..... The Club will be looking to appoint a Supporters’ Liaison Officer, which will be a requirement of all Premier League clubs from 2012/2013 season. Lets so who gets the gig. Did Bob Moncur not get this a few months back?

Honestly, if Pards is going to drag him off at half time at home, he aint going to start next week. What a fantastic understanding of football you have, mate. Phenomenal insight. Pleased you see it Btw, you havent told me who you are playing with Perch yet? Did you ask? Having ridiculed my choice of Santon and my general football understanding I would have thought it was only polite to put your own choice out there. Sorry, I'm not in the business of posting made up formations. I'd have thought it was perfectly clear that we'd use those, the manager believes to be, best suited to each position. A decision made whilst considering each candidates relative ability, form and experience. Of course, I could just pick something out of my arse, with the specific aim of annoying someone else. Like this: HBA HBA HBA HBA HBA HBA HBA HBA Jonas HBA HBA Not in the business of explaining who you might choose but happy to knock others for it. Sorry, I'm not in the business of posting made up formations. Should we just close down the football forum and only discuss actual results? Same with Transfer activity? Be a bit quiet on the old Internet

Hold on all.... Krul Simpson Santon Perch Rtaylor Obertan Abeid Guthrie Jonas Cabaye Ba The ones in black I think we can pretty much agree will all start. So lets take Centre back. Most of you all season have called for Santon to replace either Simpson or Rtaylor at one time or another so I must assume you consider him a better player? If the option is Simpson into centre back I would rather risk Santon. We all know Simpson is the back of King. Santon would hopefully give us a bit more pace and movement. Not sure who else you would all seriously consider for Centre back. That leaves us with Midfield. Given we have a makeshift defence, it wouldnt surprise me if Pardew decides to bolster the midfield and play with one up front away at Norwich. In that case its just a case of who that extra midfielder is? Of course there is Gosling or Smith :'( I just think Albeid might be a decent shout. A Tiote type player who has done extremely well in the reserves as well as knocking in some cracking goals. I dont see Cabaye playing off the striker, just the one of the midfield three who will push on more to link up the wings and attack. Fucking Brilliant imo.
-
The fuck is that?! That my dear boy would be a possible team to face Norwich. The only poser is whether we will acknowledge our defensive deficiencies and go with another defensive midfielder and Ba up front on his own. The hope would be that Albeid and Guthrie could do the running / tackling and Cabaye can be more forward minded. I dont think its that bad personally.

I leave the sexual thrills to the fanboys. If there is a particular point that troubles you, fire away. Im guessing its just anything that doesnt praise Benny.

Steven Taylors attempt at stopping the second goal reminded me of this. http://images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Black-Knight-monty-python-380122_800_441.jpg

All the goals came from the right btw not that it would be really fair to blame anyone for the last two goals when we were down to 10 men (and yes I appreciate was still on the pitch, but out of action).
-
O no, he offers a fair, balanced view on HBA, we just only praise him all the time because we're fan boys. Didn't you know? Some of us are just happy to praise him when he's done it, not before. The length of this thread surely tells you that the over expectation is ridiculous. Ive even been guilty of it myself when he's played lately but so far Im just longing for Best back. Unfortunately, its looking more and more like its not going to happen for him here.
-
He created several goal scoring chances and was nearly constantly available out on the wing for cross field passes which he took well. He also had one Ben Arf'esque run in the first 15 minutes or so.... Forget me and Jonas, Lovens provided more threat down the left than we have seen all season. I dont care if its Jonas or Loven or Sammi but we need to attack down the left rather than defences just having to worry about Obertan or humps up the field.
-
Yes but the progressive manager's mind has to be more malleable than that , you'll often see some of the best managers change things after 20-30 minutes in a game if something is wrong. I'd rather play a scarecrow on the left wing than McLovin. Quite unbelievable given the performance he put in and chances he created.

Forgotten the rules but doesnt 3 centre backs out enable us to get an emergency loan? -
I agree with your first paragraph, he contributed pretty well. On the second one though, we lost the game 0-3, so I don't think you can argue that leaving Ryan Taylor exposed is better than protecting him. I think everyone agrees that we should have a LB that doesn't need protection, that's obvious. But we don't. Hold on a minute, all three goals came from breaks down the right and the last goal was when we were down to 10 men and Taylor was the only defender in defence tbf.
-
Deserves a bit more credit this fella for his contribution against Chelsea. Could have had 3 or 4 assists to his name on another day. (when was the last time we said that about Jonas). The through ball that should have resulted in a sending off was excellent, as was the cross for Ba that Cech just tipped over. Nobody will ever convince me that two left backs is better than one decent left back and one good winger.
-
Pards will sort it. Probably go down to 1 up front, another defensive mid in their and bobs your uncle. Krul Simpson Santon Perch Rtaylor Obertan Abeid Guthrie Jonas Cabaye Ba
-
Your all in denial "He doesnt have the relish for playing out wide" - AP Pards has probably begged him to play out wide......Maybe he asked him again at half time and he refused, hence being hauled off Heading for a January exit me thinks.
