  1. Sad little man. Cry like a little girl about "the thread being back" and all you can talk about is me.... I'll save my Jizz for goals scored not penalties conceded.
  2. I don't think CT means he wants him to "attack" more. But rather his effort when he finds himself in an attacking position/situation. Keep in mind that Tiote can drive with the ball, has a powerful shot, and can chip in with a cross or two. I'm in agreement that he's a destroyer first and foremost, but sometimes players find themselves in a scenario where they are able to create or score a goal, and Tiote should make more of an effort to showcase his attacking ability. I don't think anyone's saying he should have a go up front or maraude up and down the wings. He's still a midfield player who should be able to execute efficiently anywhere on the pitch he may find himself. Yup
  3. Careful what you wish for
  4. I would hazard a guess you dont even know my opinion on Ben Arfa. What you and others like you do is react ridiculously to any comment in the sacred Ben Arfa thread that isnt full on praise and ignore the actual opinion. My opinion is fairly simple. I have heard lots about him and he scored a cracker against Everton but has yet to "do it" as a Newcastle player. I hope it eventually all goes well for him here but until it does I think its fairly sensible to be a bit more objective about where he is at on his recovery and how / if / when the TEAM can accommodate him. This of course is at odds with those in this thread who openly worship the player and think it is only a matter of time before Pardew builds an entire team around him and he becomes the greatest player to grace a Newcastle shirt. I've been watching football long enough to know it doesnt always pan out like that. Am I unreasonable to want to continue with a forward pairing that has got us so high in the league. I think not. The conjecture I guess you refer to is things like the Chronicle and Sunday Sun stories on him possibly refusing to play in the reserves and Pardews comments that "He has no relish" to play on the wing. As far as I am concerned if they are good enough discussions for the manager and local press to have they are equally good enough for an internet football thread. As for the comments about posters responding better if Id watched him before he came to Newcastle......what can I say? Im a Newcastle fan and have virtually no other football interest outside of watching Newcastle. Did many people watch Tiote before we got him? Does that mean we cant have an opinion on him? As usual you trot out the dramatic line about people who think Ben Arfa is shit (paraphrasing you say). I cant recall anyone saying he was anything like shit at all. Ive heard people say they prefer Best or prefer Ba AT THE MINUTE, or that he should be out wide etc.....But nothing I could recognise as calling him shit. The fact that I as a Newcastle fan am quite happy at the the moment with a line up that has got us to third and unbeaten (prior to city) should not really draw the bile it does or be transformed into "Ben Arfa Hater" crap. I hope he eventually recovers fully, gets into the team when it suits the team and goes on to have a great career here, however when he next starts, has a cracker and scores a few goals, I will bet a great deal of money this last paragraph will be conveniently forgotten.
  5. Gonna score a screamer on Saturday now
  6. They're opinions laddy. Surely the forum is open to the normal fan who just pays his money, takes his seat in the ground and watches the game as well as the skilled internet soopafan who has played half way around europe on football manager. You might not agree with my opinion but feel free to show me anything Ive said which is made up.
  7. Pretty much spot on that.
  8. What a load of garbage. Such a mackem anti-NUFC s*** Well, no, it's actually a fact. Who would you be supporting right now if Hatem had signed for the mackems, eh? Such a whore. The penalty is a fact yes but it's "his most important contribution" for RDT posters. Hatem hadn't signed for the mackems, so you question is pointless as usual and he didn't choose Newcastle by accident. The subject here isn't my person neither, but the load of s*** you're capable of when talking about this player. It clearly was his most important contribution, you fairy. He played well but that's the only action that directly impacted the scoreline. By all means attack my opinions, although it's becoming very tedious to say the least. Quite laughable that you (and countless other minions) come on here looking for an argument with those of us who pay your fantasy man's salary. That it offends you so deeply that I want him to play RW says everything that needs to be said about you as a person - if joining this forum simply because of one player didn't already. Nothing offends me young boy and absolutely not the fact you want him to play RW. Was just pointing out your big "expertise" about him ("a player who's played his best football out wide") and if you had a minimum of "savoir vivre" (and brain) you would have welcome people like me and the minions who are able to inform you about a player you know nothing about, instead of telling them everyday that they're strangers and therefor without valid arguments to oppose to yours, even if yours are absolutely s*** What a beautiful mentality. You also seem unable to accept that the vast majority of us just want NUFC to win games and Ben Arfa's personal development must be achieved secondary to this. We're not a circus for him to perform tricks; we're a proud football club that will embrace a highly talented and enigmatic footballer such as Hatem should he contribute to our cause. Good post
  9. Well I posted in the thread 4 hours after the match finished, whilst at work??? And that was two hours after your telling contribution...."Wheres Baggio and 3 sleeps". Says it all really.
  10. You know what mate, and instead of bitching and calling you a sack, ill be honest. Do you not think there is a reason why everyone is jumping on you all of the time? And no, its not because everyone is a fan boy. You even have one of the Mods so frustrated that he was tempted to delete you. Do you really think that is down to him being a 'fan boy'? If you had of given your argument in a constructive way, like - 'You know what, Best and Obertan are back, i really would like to stick with that team as it went unbeaten blah blah.... ' But instead, you come in the thread after a few days, knowing full well that there has been a lot of positivity around after his performance and say 'he had his chance and he blew it, he needs to be dropped'. Its comments like that, that get peoples backs up. And its pretty clear you do it to get people to bite. He didnt blow his chance, he had a decent game and you know this. Now how about trying to be constructive instead of just being a grade A tool?? IMO, he had "a few moments", nothing more. IMO, those moments dont warrant him retaining a place ahead of Best. Pardew has also made it clear that HBA does not want to play on the wing. The general problem in this thread is the "fan boy" attitude to Ben Arfa. It doesnt really matter whether it is me or any of the others who dont heap praise constantly, they are instantly attacked as Ben Arfa haters which I dont think anyone who supports Newcastle is. And if you cant handle a bit of needle / fun with your football, then the internets not really the best place to be is it. Banning people for having a different view ffs
  11. Don't agree with that, not saying he used to fire in 2-3 quality long range efforts a game (nor do I want him too, he's a DM for fuck sake). But when he used to actually have a go, they usually seemed fairly accurate and powerful. Can't see where Christams Tree is coming from mind, not that I'm surprised though, I don't think I ever have Thats where Im coming from along with his pre season interview where he said he wanted to show more of what he could do in attack.
  12. Wahay, the fan boys have woken up.
  13. Hold on a minute. This is the same Ryan Taylor who has gained us quite a few points recently? Drop him for a couple of mistakes under pressure against the leagues best team? Drop the fella whose done so well for the last 10 games for a young kid who is untried or tested in the prem? Same lad that would have been a hell of a lot more exposed had it not been for the chap playing in front of him on the left wing. Forgot his name again? Who is it? See this is a debatable point. I get how Jonas was asked to do a job against Stoke and it worked. But...... He now doesnt attack at all (not that I think it was ever great). If we had someone, him or another, attacking down the left, that would also ease pressure on Taylor because they would be defending against us and not us sitting back at defending against them. Whether you agree with me, you'll have heard the phrase " the best line of defence is attack". Basically what Im getting at here. And, because he is attacking we have turned very one sided with most attacks coming down the right either with Obertan or Sammi. Much better in my deluded opinion to have attacks going down both flanks. You do realise that you've just completely contradicted yourself here, right? Nope, I dont...... You've basically just criticised and taken a high ground over posters in this thread for wanting to change a system 'that saw us go 11 games unbeaten' but then just said you want to change it round in other ways, even suggesting omitting Jonas from the side. Not really. Its pretty clear Im talking about the role he has been asked to play been a problem rather than it been his fault. Doesn't matter. You've highlighted an area/system within the team you think should be changed despite by your own admission telling other people on here to not even entertain the idea of playing Ben Arfa (despite playing better against City than Best has for a number of weeks) because it's not part of the 'successful formula'. If you're listening to your own stance, then really you should have nowt to debate/complain about and you should be 100% happy with the role Jonas plays. Absolute twaddle. Comparing the lack of attacking play from Jonas to whether a recovering player should start ahead of an established performer this season is simply twaddle. A couple of flashes of potential from HBA does not equate to more than the ball retention, graft and goals that Best has contributed to get us to where we are. I love how you don't like Jonas because he lacks end product, yet Best, who's really not been at all productive during our best spell but does work hard, should be kept in. Strikers should have at least a decent return of end product man, in terms of creating or scoring, more than any other position. As for completely missing my point, well what can I say? You just can't criticise anyone for wanting to change things around a bit, then go and do it yourself, with something that has been THE key to our success, aka the defensive side of our game. We would certainly not have been where we are if we'd followed 'attack is the best form of defence', Ryan Taylor would have been left far too exposed. Re Best, I think theres not much I can add to what Robaldo says above. Re Jonas, if you cant see how his attacking play has suffered of late Im not sure what else to say. We cant simply rely on a one sided attack imo.
  14. Christmas Tree

    Alan Pardew

And most importantly he has also said how much he has learned from his past mistakes. Could well turn out to be a true great for us as long as he gets support from upstairs.
  15. Tiote himself said he wanted to be more involved in attack and improve his attacking game this season you dullard.
  16. So come on then, who would you leave out? Best, Ba, Obertan? Best as he needs some time in the reserves to get back to match fitness. very good
  17. And you sir are just a bore.

  22. Why? Because I would rather start with Ba and Best. Give over
  23. So come on then, who would you leave out? Best, Ba, Obertan? Obertan. But he has already made it clear to Pardew he doesn't want to play on the wing.
