If Leon Best is back and with Jonas out, I think we may stumble into our best team and formation. Ben Arfa scaring them down one side, Obertan on the other and a nice little triangle of Cabaye, Ba and Best linking it all up could be extremely tasty and productive.

Wonder how the steak and milk diets going for little Shane. With Jonas out I would be more than happy to see him scampering down the wing. Not too sure why he seems so back out of the picture compared to Sammi. Most times I remember seeing him play he was great going for the bye line but could equally receive a ball and get a cross in straight away. Not scared to get the boot in either. If best is fit, play HBA there by all means but it would be nice to see Fergie again.

While I appreciate Ashley isn't going to sanction a splurge to attack the top four, I do hope he's fair to Pardew and keeps the incomings of a sufficient quality to cement us in or around the top 6-8 for the next few years. Seems to have everything else needed in abundance.

Totally agree with this. He's turning into the player he always had the potential to be. Seems Pardew has really worked well with him.

Yet to be convinced that it's going to work for him as a number 10 behind Ba with the way we play. As I keep saying, Jonas and Obertan don't strike me as good enough players to make this work. Marveaux looked to have the silky calm confident skills that would be ideal, but not these two. Now that Jonas is out I would love to see Ba off Best and HBA on the wing. This will allow Cabaye to help orchestrate a bit more in the centre and I could see this being a better option for Hatem to improve the team.

Fantastic manager. Where Chris Hughton restored some dignity, Pardew has restored belief and Passion. His post match interview on Radio Newcastle was brilliant. You can feel the passion banging through the speakers. Listening to him it's easy to understand why this team is playing out of it's skin for him.

This for me. Has fast become possibly my favourite player. Exudes confidence and really gives each performance his all. The only sad spot as Skirge points out is that his quality is there for all to see. Simply brilliant Tim.

Quite up and down about this one and any points would really be a blessing. If Jonas could rediscover his attacking from that first trip to Man U then I would say we have a good chance of nicking a win. I'll go for 2-1 to us.

Cant say Ive ever had a soft spot for another team as such, more a soft spot for players and therefore followed their exploits for other teams when they have moved on. This mainly applies to Beardsley and to a lesser extent Gazza. Not sure that would have lead me to joning a rival fans forum to sing their praises But who knows.

It's not as simple as that! What's simple is that Best has participated in a team that has grafted well and reached third. That's why it's not simple. Those of you who therefore can't see it's not a straightforward simple decision are yourselves simplistic.
