I'm not sure there were really any credible alternatives. The mistake was Bruce should have been sacked immediately and Howe brought in as quickly as possible. I think he's a reasonable choice in an impossible position, but I am worried about what he is doing to address our defense.

We werent trying to win ugly under bruce that was front foot football! lolol. Solidifying the defence had to be the number 1 priority and Howe hasn't managed it. I have sympathy and it is Man City. It's just the silly mistakes that get me.

Long term, fine take time, its going to take a long time and there is a lot of work to turn us into a functional club top to bottom everything needs huge revolution. Short term we need to wring everything we can out of january transfer window and any marginal gains elsewhere as soon as possible to avoid relegation. this is what i am worried about in terms of how long things are taking. I hope the ownership are prepared for possible relegation. It shouldnt be really a disaster, just a frustrating delay on everything really.
