  1. Haha useless defending right in front of new owners.
  2. Banging on about how well he has done to keep us in the premier league, to be fair he did have to overcome the massive handicap of having steve bruce as manager. Oh.
  3. Very easy to say you'd take a moral stand theoretically Honestly though it's the premier league's fault footballs totally fucked why don't they boycott all premier league games? (and i don't mean that to be snide. All this outrage from people as if it's our clubs problem glosses over the fact that this is the leagues problem, and we're all in it together)
  4. Right we're definitely going to hire Ole after Conte to Man U right
  5. Ok thought this was probably sensible thread to have this discussion. What should the owners do in the immediate future in terms of on the pitch, I'm not talking specific managers or players necessarily. Do you try and find a manager to take the manager on long term straight away? Or do you get in someone a bit less exciting maybe to firefight and keep us in premier league this season, with view of better managers coming available in summer (and if dude does very well can be kept I guess). I would be tempted to get a director of football to come in and spend the next 6 months getting everything including recruitment structure behind the scenes all straightened out before worrying about attracting any super big name managers but torn because a shit manager beloved of pundits could still get us relegated. I doubt a Tuchel sort would want to join until summer at least. Transfers wise, assuming they're telling the truth and not going to spend all the money in the world immediately I still think at least 3 solid quality players are needed in winter. We 100% need a high class midfielder and striker. Press are banging on about more centre backs but a good coach should be able to get Schar back into team and get lascelles playing well again. I, think any 'big name' signings will be over expensive in january. We are going to be offered every overpaid unwelcome player in all the leagues from teams hoping to get a quick buck from naive new owners. I would also try and avoid totally breaking the wage structure immediately lest cause problems with current squad we still need. I would try and get ASM on new contract mind.
  6. He's excellent but I fear he will be lost alongside all the other attacking talent being kinda wasted at Man U. He has all the tools and a nice ability to shoot early accurately, hope he kicks on to become an England regular.
  7. Fucking embarrassing. I guess all the people bombed in yemen were all paedos or something next? You. Do. Not. Have. To. Like. The. Person. Who. Owns. Your. Football. Club.
  8. People want to move the stadium? I know we cant expand as much as wanted but good god I would't trade having stadium at top of city for the world. Albeit also realise keeps getting fucking blocked off by more and more shit buildings

Think some of you need to develop thicker skins a bit yeah maybe had a go at us in full more than should but just a cartoon and going to be way more of this to come. He will has some cracking strips now and then
  10. Nothing in rumours until proper management team in place clearly mostly just agents trying to flog to us soon as possible
  11. Yeah he's a long time Sunderland fan but usually alright. I get a lot of what he's saying but attitude to fans is condescending and hopeless.
  12. He'd probably ride an initial wave of hope, get excited go drinking with fans, and as soon as he appoints bruce and fucks it up and the fans turn he will just treat them like money cows like us from then on.
  13. Friend has suggested Ashley is interested in derby cos he's an energy vampire
  14. No worries mate, emotions running high, its just arguments makes us seem poles apart when I am so excited for this takeover, just there are complications for me
  15. I am fine with you not caring, honestly, you're the one arguing with us who do have a few reservations
  16. I mean he could just not post in the thread explicity for those having some doubts
  17. This ranking countries against each other is nonsense all countries have acted reprehensibly, what we are concerned about actions right now of treating gay people, women, activists etc etc like shit, values completely at odds with the broad strokes inclusiveness the premier league pretends to promote and totally unacceptable in the UK where Newcastle exists. ManDoon is just saying we don't need to act as their PR, and he's right, no different than under ashley we didn't need to all be banging on about how he was a wonderful businessman
  18. The premier league has been doing awful things for years. Now does something awful which benefits us but apparently we are the only ones who should take action about it. I completely sympathise with them talking about how absurd it is and how awful mbs is but they lose me with the newcastle fans need to take a long hard look at themselves but apparently this is just our problem? If the premier league is too lacking in morals for you (and this is totally reasonable in my opinion) then take a step back, I feel like tht a bit too, it certainly feels a little soulless. But if you want to cover man united man city derby but think our fans are crazy for enjoying this? What?
  19. I don't know why people want to rebuild st james, i'd find it very sad to see it completely go. Maybe stands can be rebuilt but i find the ultra modern stadiums all look a bit bland and samey. Newcastle would look wrong without st james at the top.
  20. Sigh treats newcastle fans like idiots as if we alone should take a stand and boycott otherwise we are morally blind. This is the leagues mess, all very well acting all superior to local mps who can see jobs and investment coming into teh area from a country we happily trade with. I do wonder if the game has gone considering teh greed etc but that is a universal problem for all premier league fans
  21. I broadly agree but there was a bit of, well amanda staverley said they were pro rainbow laces so how dare you challenge saudi arabia on here earlier. Hopefully small minority
  22. Yes and i haven't no problem if someone doesn't give a damn about geopolitics too much and just wants to enjoy, i do have a problem if you think people aren't allowed to discuss or have concerns
