Honestly think Arsenal should have got Rafa. Absolutely need his clarity in just making them hard to beat first. They have some wonderful exciting players who are going to be ruined by association with this shambles.

I do feel slightly harsh to jump on Arsenal for being outclassed by Chelsea and Man City teams that have diverged a long way ahead of them but then you do look at how much money arsenal have spent, it's astonishing to end up with a squad so thin and unimpressive.

Arsenal spend enough money to be a lot better than they are, I don't know how you are splurging so much money and end up with a squad that lightweight. They are good at bringing through good young talent and this should be a good basis for building a competitive team. They are a long long way off challenging for title but for money spent should be challenging for champions league places.

Hayden has been a fantastic servant of the club for a fairly limited player. I actually think at times even under Bruce he has been actually high standard. I think the fact he isn't technically gifted hugely or anything means he just normally dilligently gets on with his defensive job, a lot of other defensive mids start thinking they're yaya toure and rampage everywhere or attempting ludicrous passes. He's no Kante or anything but probably underrated really. Don't know why Bruce seems to want to play him higher, and all his good work is undone by having non entities like shelvey or hendrick or colback next to him.
