This is why FA's refusal to take broader action against Liverpool's defence of Suarez is shown to be ridiculous. The club starts acting as if racism is ok undoes a lot of good work.

throw the whole book at the club. hard.

I can, if fergie's had enough of arguments with him, could be a swap deal or something

the elephant in the room with Rooney is that for a while his good form is intermittent. When he's in good form he's absolutely class, but he has blips where he doesn't do much more than the minimum required, his dip in confidence was seen by a lot as a one off but I think he's genuinely really weak mentally, probably comes from being told he's the greatest player ever every day for his life for years. He'd still make any team most the time, but he's going to be phenomenol for half a season and so-so the other half. Or maybe run an entire season brilliantly...for the amount of money he costs he's more of a gamble. If he goes to Real Madrid maybe Mourinho will get him coached well and in the right head space, but maybe he won't be able to handle not automatically getting a team built around him.

Yeah I agree don't think City need him, think Aguero is a very similar player in how he operates, and has a much better attitude. Mancini wants another striker but can't see him going for one so similar to what they've got. Paris St Germain and that Russian club with billions are also in picture I guess

If there was a clause I can't believe it wouldn't have been activated already. He seems happy and settled in teh squad and i'm going to keep on believing that right up till he's playing for totenham and I'm crying.
-
Must have a good source. Only a few places that can afford him, City could, funded by Tevez to Milan. Either of the Milan's possibly. Most likely Real Madrid imo. Don't believe Abromovitch is willing to spunk another £50m or whatever on a single player.

giving liverpool a penalty is never the correct decision looked a little soft to me but only saw it once

Go Oldham!

Internet TV never really took off so not surprised they're giving a go, would be amazed if they got exclusive rights, everyone would have to rush out and buy the things, but would probably be very smart of them. Would be less surprised if Apple and Google both got non-exclusive rights to show it and did so to launch their services.

Won't the clause be the same one he got at west ham, free exit if relegated. Would say no danger of that but that would jinx it. Also congrats for player of the month!
-
regardless they have to agree personal terms don't they? and he's buggering off to ACN so would be hard. Let's just hope he's genuinely very happy and in no hurry to bugger off anywhere. Does seem like an ideal squad for him atm with all the french players, getting loads of service, no competition for being in the squad, no danger of us getting relegated and a medical team managing his knee ok... ...crossing fingers

Kind of have a bad feeling about this, blackburn bit of a bogey team for us, and these sort of doomed clubs always seem to have a cup run, remember Portsmouth a few years ago?
-
To be fair think only abromovich knows how busy they will be, it's not like anyone else has much input by most accounts
-
his tactic i think is to keep saying this and hope one player says, oh i wouldn't mind going there...

Quick Ashley, buy up all the strawberry syrup in the UK and tell him he's only getting it if he's here

Maybe as a sub I'd imagine

I'm fairly sure Samba wants to to to a champions league club? He was linked with a few so would be hard to convince him to go to QPR I assume. No idea why Arsenal don't buy him.
-
Seconded. Redknapp is talking about Ba because over the course of the window Redknapp will talk about every single striker in every single league at some point, then Levy will get bored of his bollocks and sign someone good himself without any input.
-
We won't be going in for Samba because fairly sure club are (rightly happy) with Colo Saylor and Williamson being the core defenders. Samba would demand to be first choice and that probably means losing one of those 3. I don't like disrupting a good defence, would much rather either a dedicated prospect centre back who can fill in and maybe be first choice once Colo has gone, or a backup CB who can play full back as well.
-
Not sure about that, I think a Ba Ben Arfa partnership will work by Ba dropping deep to take the ball and exchanging passes wither out wide or towards ben arfa, think there'll be less of a gap between mid and attack, more of a problem of not being people up top ready to receive Krul's aimpless punts upfield. I suspect Ben Arfa should be prefered to pass to if there's congestion as he can produce a bit of magic through a solid defence.
-
It's fair to assume if he did have a £10mish release clause you would have to question the sanity of any club with £10m to spare not activating it.

Newcastle United Training. from the look on Colo's face Krul has just asked for a kiss
