What's really bothering me is the calls from people like Gus Poyet that the ban is 'excessive', I can understand in a way arguing about whether he's guilty or not, but if you're arguing about the punishment you are assuming he is guilty. And 8 Games for racist abuse is in no way excessive.

Well if they found he used that Uruguayan term that isn't racist there and they believed there was absolutely no racist intent I can understand 8 game ban and not a permanent one. Not convinced that's true though. (and if it is I completely believe he should still be punished, ignorance is no excuse for racism)

I don't disagree he could come good down the line, so could some of our reserve team players, whom unlike him aren't automatic first team players. I think I've seen him being good in flashes, but he's a sub to come on against tired legged opposition right now, not automatic winger.

I work with a liverpool fan who sinks further into depression every week due to his increasing dislike of Dagliesh. I suspect he's a closeted Everton fan or something.

Dagliesh will claim injustice and go on repeated rants which will end up with FA punishing him by banning him from the sidelines for most of the season, and then their season implodes! Oh...no wait actually not having Dagliesh on the side could improve Liverpool, Suarez's masterstroke for the club!
