Roque Mesa is absolute quality at what he does but I think he's a little bit too similar to Hayden in his style of play (which isn't a bad thing!). Excellent at breaking up attacks and controlling the middle of the pitch and in front of the defence but his plan is always to lay off a simple ball to one of the more creative players than to ping a forward pass/through ball himself. I'd be delighted if we did go for him though because his style of play is suited to the English game and he's definitely ahead of Hayden in terms of development. Almost joined Sevilla in the summer just gone but the Las Palmas chairman put a block on the deal, think they were holding out for around €12m and Sevilla would only go as high as €8m. Pretty sure he'll be away next summer though if he continues his terrific form this season. Lemos at CB is another great prospect at Las Palmas but I think his reputation is already probably too high to join us, there were tentative links with Barcelona in the summer.

Can't believe how much this game is being hyped up by the Leeds fans, they're worse than Boro for bigging up non-derbies Comfortable win for us as well I reckon, 2-0. Similar to the Derby away game where we'll just soak up the pressure without ever looking massively under threat.

Absolutely ridiculous how bad this lads luck is when it comes to injuries. Unfortunately, think this one might be the final straw in terms of his upward development though as it'll probably mean he's now out for the season? Definitely need a couple of wingers brought in come January, especially with Atsu jetting off to the AFCON too.

Tickets for the beamback are definitely still on sale on the NUFC website for this, just ordered 2 myself. Not quite sure why the club tweeted they were all sold out at dinnertime today

Agree about the extra points being awarded for purchasing a season ticket and attending the cup games Also think the point mentioned about 'freezing' loyalty points on your account if you don't renew your season ticket one year is the most sensible. I didn't renew last year (out of choice) and lost 25 points that I'd built up over the past 4/5 years...now I'm on 1. Would be ridiculous if someone had been going to away games for 30+ years and had built up 100's of points, only to be not able to renew his season ticket one year (financial/work related?) and be back down to 0 when he/she does get their season ticket back.

Because we had a few very decent but ultimately spineless mercenaries in our team who turned up when they felt like turning up? Aye, but 5-1 at home to the 2nd best team in the league (granted they were in poor form come that game) was just completely mental. Even if someone had said that we would play to our full potential and Spurs would have an off day, I'd never have said we'd have beaten them by a 4 goal margin Hopefully plenty more games like that to come if we go up this year.
