I'd like to see Clichy in place of Evra as Evra is pretty damn awful lol but other than that yeah thats what i would do. Whether Blanc will do that or not is another matter.

We are not Man Utd though and we dont get CL every year and dont have the income they have..... it will be very difficult for us on the income and wage structure we have to sign players like Gamiero as a squad player. Which is what i said at the end. You also have to bare in mind the possibility of Ba or Cisse leaving next year. What better than having a replacement already here? True enough, if we have the finance to add someone like Gamiero to the squad and sign the players we need to strengthen ( such as RB, CB and maybe a CM etc) then brilliant i just doubt that we do is all.

Nothing wrong with it i just reckon Gamiero especially will prefer to go somewhere where he can be the main man and not back up to Cisse..... If he wants to join and is fine with it then great but i cant see it.

I agree with that but i highly doubt Gamiero will come here to be a back up.... its first choice or it aint happening. And when we signed Cisse that ship sailed.

As i like Southampton i hope it comes off for them but boy is that a big outlay....

As a defensive option alongside Tiote in 4-3-3 with Cabaye infront with License to get forward more i dont see the down side with Diame. Shame he would be off to AFCON aswell though

Although i dont agree with it i wouldnt be suprised if Blanc goes with 2 DM's (M'Vila and Diarra) Cabaye infront of them and 2 wide players flanking Benzema. He seems quite a pragmatic coach and with two attacking fullbacks iam not sure he trusts the defence enough to play just 1 DM. I dont agree with it because i feel France's strength is going forward and they should embrace that but i wouldnt be suprised by it in anycase.

A big risk. For CB cover in case of injuries, or lack of form (the 2 CB's were terrible vs Iceland) Blanc's idea is Alou Diarra.... I have since been reminded of Alou Diarra ability to play at CB its still a risk though IMO.

He's not going to join us to be a mere back up, if that were the case i would have no problem him joining.... But he will want to start and we have Cisse now, we dont need him even if Ba goes because as i pointed out Gamiero cant play out wide so it makes little sense. Gamiero would have been great when we didnt have a #9 but we do now so its a moot argument.

I felt that too, if we were to make a move and offer something Montpellier deem acceptable then we could get him... The quotes didnt seem like he was ruling it out just for the moment we havent followed up our interest.

Well done to Ben Arfa I am suprised he dropped Mbiwa as they only have 3 CB's now i suppose M'vila and Matuidi can play CB but i still feel its a mistake.

Gamiero is a 9 just like Cisse infact they are very similar..... if you want 4-3-3 which iam pretty sure most of us do. He wont fit even as a Ba replacement...... believe me iam not against the idea of signing quality as it seems iam against signing a lot of quality strikers recently lol its just i dont feel Gamiero and Giroud fit into the way we want to go forward. Striker than can play wide and upfront is what i want and i dont feel Gamiero can provide that.

We've been scouting him for a while so i'd be shocked (and disappointed) if we didn't end up making contact. Dortmund don't need him, Bayern are meant to have signed Dante.....could only be Schalke, really. Really hope we make a move. Its Gladbach.....

In anycase i cant see them cutting any defenders as they only have 2 for each position and have a lot of forwards and midfielders it just doesnt make sense.

Who said that? they only 4 defenders currently including Mbiwa they cant afford to cut any defenders..... the ones that will be cut will be midfielders and/or forwards.... None the less i doubt he will play as he's back up so i dont see anyway that his price will rise with a good tournament like with Debuchy.

Way way too much IMO we should be looking for a young striker but not at that price.
