No Adrian or Soldado for Torres and Negredo is laughable But iam not suprised as much as VDB is a legend his team selection has always been awful and that doesnt look like changing any time soon. Said it for while now and i feel this tournament might be a step too far for Spain, Forward line is awful ( Llorente aside who will ride the bench anyway) and defense is extremely unproven.

Mate of mine who is Venezuelan said we and Porto had scouts watching him the other day in a friendly with Moldovia. ( not sure how he would know mind probably just going by local media reports) So i think its safe to say ( if what he says is true) we are actively pursuing several different targets for several different positions. Which makes sense we dont want to be chasing one player all summer long and get knocked back and end up with nothing. Moldova i spelt it wrong.....

The club paid him that, not his fault tbf. Also he would have played if picked, so not bieng picked was again not his fault. Your point is valid though, why sit on the bench when you could play elsewhere, thats true irrelevent of wages though isn't it ?. I play veterans football and was playing for a team and not getting picked, i left for another as i didn't see the point watching and playing for 5 mins if lucky. Of course but it just annoys me even more that he showed no passion at all to continue playing and instead not even on the bench for most games and pick up his money. As i pointed out he would still been paid very well by what ever club took him on but he refused those opportunities. Why? i can only think it was money-related. Just annoys me seeing so many people not even wanted by thier clubs and they just sit there and pick up their wages and almost refuse to get regular game time in favour of a superior weekly wage.

So 40k a week for 15 years isnt enough? jog on Smith could have easily took a paycut and continued his career at a decent level but he is a leech who is only in it for the money and basically gave up on a possibly decent career so he can leech us for 60k every week.

Like you wouldn't do the same. Give over, man. Its different for me because the difference in me getting paid 20k a year to 40k a year is life changing..... For a football a 20k a week difference in wage hardly changes anything for them, if he truly cared about playing the game he is paid to do then he would have left took a paycut to get consistent gametime. So no in Smiths position i wouldnt have done the same, because the difference in what we paid him and what he would have been paid by potential suitors is hardly life changing and he could have actually continued his career instead of wasting it on the bench or worse ( the reserves)

Tbh Valencia signing another RB got me more excited than any quotes from someone from L'Equipe With them out of the way it would seem that much easier to do as it seems they were the only other legitimate interested party.
