If we are going to buy a striker i think i want someone who compliments Ba perfectly and i dont want it rushed just because we are a bit low on numbers...... Leave that to the summer if you cant find the perfect man for the job.

What a f*cking performance, everyone from Danny Simpson to Demba Ba were f*cking awesome....... Tiote was a fcking monster tonight, i honestly believe Rooney was scared of him Cabaye's free kick I am never questioning Pardew ever again...... I also thought Santon was fantastic and surely starting LB for now on.. -
Yh iam very unhappy with the style of football and team selection in recent weeks , make no mistake tho iam delighted with the current position in the league and the great work Pardew has done this season for the most part.
-
Taylor could'nt manage it........
-
Yh he's shown more capabilities defensively and offensively in those 3 games than Simpson and Raylor( bar a couple of excellent goals) have all season.......
-
Completely agree, surely Jonas on the other side is providing enough defensive cover already or atleast is suppose to..... Most teams will have a "playmaking" player on one side and a defensively solid player on the other side anyway i dont see why we cant....... 4-3-3 with Jonas and Ben Arfa on the wings and Cabaye-Tiote-Guthrie( when hes fit) would work up a treat imo........ The only problem apart from Santon the fullbacks are shite. Also about Nani at Man Utd atleast he had a component defender behind him we have Simpson ffs.

I would'nt bet on it....... Best-Ameobi is my bet. Pardew did say a couple of weeks ago that Ben Arfa could be the one to "fill Ba's boots" when he's away. Did'nt Pardew say he would'nt sell Carroll, didnt he say we would play football and the side would be built around Ben Arfa.... etc etc? Not saying it wont happen but iam not in the business in believing Pardew's word is gospel. Sorry for all this negativity guys, but all this Ben Arfa and Santon on the bench everyweek is starting to get to me Definitely didn't say this like. Pardew's comments of late have been bizarre to say the least tbh. But I definitely still have faith in Pardew mind. I do, its just frustrating to see some of the decisions not being learnt from...... " The Worst mistakes we make are the ones we don't learn from" I take the Ben Arfa comment back if he didnt say it, but iam pretty sure did. If he didnt then i take it back.

His passing is often very poor. Especially when he's required to do something with it at home. I would'nt call his passing poor, inconsistent yes but not poor......

Direct football doesn't always have to be s****. With the right players it can be extremely effective and entertaining, especially in England. It's only entertaining when your winning. The worst part of this, is that it doesn't benefit our better players very much. Most of our lads can play a bit. Depends on what type of direct you mean....... Real Madrid for example are very direct, does anyone find them boring? But yh i agree with Sewelly its just w*ank Stoke long ball baby back Bullsh*t, also coincedently we won more games playing the other way and got the most out of more of our players...... Playing Santon, Colo, Cabaye, Ben Arfa and it shouldnt be too hard to play some decent football but Pardew obviously disagrees.... Unfortunatly now this has came out less than 24 hrs before the game i get the feeling Pardew will use it as an excuse to bench him again ( like he needed one of those anyway) So the template has gone from Arsenal to Stoke?
-
The only reason i think we will hold on to 7th is because the other sides in around us our bound to drop points and aint no better and majority of them are worse its not like the top 6 were your expected to win everyweek....... So prediction is we cling on to 7th due to being " Best of the rest" and Go out of Fa Cup pretty early.......
-
Ashley Williams? I would'nt mind that at all actually, bit of a underrated CB imo and has some technical skills to go with his obvious strength that all CB's require....... Much better than some of the other names linked like Tomkins for example.
