I like Williamson personally, thought he was really good last year ( management also thought so as Taylor was on the bench for months)...... Some cover in defence is what he will provide and would make me feel alot more comfortable knowing if something happens to Taylor or Colo on a match day ( aslong as its not long term ) we have someone ready to come in...... Still think we need a CB mind, every top side has 4 quality CB's and we should be no different going forward..... Taylor(Williamson) Colo(New CB) looks pretty good to me. ( Hopefully Ashley feels the same )

A defensively sound LB allowing Gutierrez to play his natural game and not play as a fullback because Taylor is lliability defensively? Good enough for me. Aslong as Santon plays on the other side as the attacking fullback of the two.

True, now that i think about it was a pretty bad example None the less he has played LB many times and he was actually bought as a LB so i think we can make it work but i do understand the overlapping natural full back argument.

Let me give an example....... Henry-Eto'o-Messi...... one of the best attacking trio's in recent memory had Henry on the left ( who is right footed) and Messi on the right ( who is left footed) I understand where your coming from but its not vital for everyone to play on thier correct side if they are dangerous enough on the opposite side...... Besides Santon is very 2 footed.

Thinking about it, couldnt playing Santon on the left be a communication thing more than anything ? Think about it Coloccini speaks Italian so being next to him instead of next Taylor is probably better for the whole back 4 communication wise...... With Clyne on the right next to Taylor both being english so they will communicate between each other fine.... I am personally for this move, it makes sense financially and from what i have seen who looks to have what it takes to be a quality Prem RB...... Still want a CB mind but not against this move at all.

Honestly believe we can get something from this, Swansea are playing United off the park if they can why cant we? Reason why struggled against City is because we gave them too much respect in the first half and thier midfield is probably one of the best in the league...... Honestly believe with Tiote-Cabaye-Ben Arfa triangle we have a better midfield than United and we shouldnt be afraid of them..... Bring Santon in and hopefully Tiote is back from injury and i fully believe we can get something.

I agree with the rest that a CB cover is needed desperately, preferably a ball playing one so if Coloccini were to miss some games we could still have someone to bring the ball out from the back. I would want a fullback, back up CB to go along with Maiga and that would please me a great deal.
