Yep, I mean Mitrovic cost more ffs

I think you're wrong like, we can't go into a season in the Premier with our current strike force. I mean theirs a lot bigger issues with our team than our strike force tbh. Personally I think having a proven goalscorer is a must if you want to avoid the relegation battle. I like Gayle a lot but I'm not sure he'd qualify as a proven Premier striker just yet. Aye i'm just saying that we have weaker areas of the team, just shows how much needs to be done really.

Could've sworn Niang had signed for Everton? You thinking of Niasse? Nope, definitely Niang. Reading back it sounds as if Everton had a fee agreed but the player has put contract talks on hold. Yeah pretty sure i read the player was waiting for Arsenal he'll be waiting a while.

Exactly what I'm saying, I agree on bit about he obviously has quality to score at the rate he has mind. I'm just not seeing the must buy or regret it level of player it feels like everyone else is seeing. Not that it matters as we are never going to spend 25m on someone, which I thought we all knew.
-
Yeah because that's what I'm saying , just people are acting like he's a sure fire 20 a season scorer. If he was as good as you all seem to think, better teams than Leicester would be signing him. As I said we have rejected the chance to sign much better players than him before and nobody reacted so negatively to it.
-
I genuinely don't know why people are upset by not spending 25m on someone who has played for like 5 minutes. There's no real proof he's going to be amazing or anything, he just hasn't had enough playing time to know whether he's going to be great. We have turned down opportunities to sign much better players for less than Iheanacho, I'm just not convinced he's going to live up to the hype. He might but in no way is he going to be a sure fire hit.

2nd, i don't really rate the others apart from Monreal. Edit: Just seen Rose, maybe him too although i do think he's massively protected by Spurs system and the DMs in front of the back 4.
-
I don't particularly agree with the notion of spending a third of our supposed budget on someone who might not actually be that good.
-
Fuck's sake.

Why aren't we on that? Has he gone to s***? Suppose he doesn't fit the Ashley signing profile at all like. Aye, i wouldn't buy any of City's FBs personally as most of them are pretty crap now. Not to mention the wages.

Florian Lejeune (now playing for Rayo Vallecano)

I'm of the opinion that at their worst all 4 of the current CBs are mid to lower table standard PL defenders, when you consider we had defenders who had no right to be playing for a PL club for years on end i'm pretty satisfied with what we have in the short term. -
Won't be a more ridiculous BS rumor all summer.
-
Irony here is the people giving me shit have probably never seen him play in their lifes.
-
I mean his contract was ended early by a team who has a transfer ban
-
Shame I'm not the only one before you get your hopes up.
-
I doubt any of the big european clubs will want him, all of them are stocked with better strikers already. Man Yoo seems a very safe bet if he is to leave.
-
"f*** off" Well he's right about one thing, Kane is better I just don't think Spurs will sell him.
-
Don't like Cerci, don't think he's very good. But after years of Gouffran I can't be too picky.

That's a good thing surely? -
While i agree it's mental, i think that says more about Deschamps than it does Giroud or Lacazette. For me he's better than Giroud and fits more what Arsenal will try to do than Giroud does.
-
Lacazette will definitely help, although i think it helps Ozil more than Sanchez tbh. For the first time since probably his Madrid days he'll have someone in front of him actually making runs into space. Having said that i don't think it's enough, i have seen them linked with Lemar from Monaco that would be good.

Completely disagree. The problem with the current Arsenal side isn't anything like what people think it is. As opposed to 5 years ago, they now drastically lack technical ball players in central midfield, attacking midfield and wide playmaker. The positionless playmakers that became Arsenal's cliche have almost completely disappeared. Coquelin, Elneny, Xhaka, Ramsey in the centre. Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck, Iwobi as wide options. They basically have a load of sort-of destroyers in the middle (save for Ramsey, who flatters to decieve) and speed merchants out wide. I'm not necessarily saying any of these are bad players, but they're certainly not title winning decisive players. If they were to lose Ozil their squad looks desperately lacking in this area. Signing a world class centre back and midfield destroyer would improve them but nowhere near as much as people make out. They more clearly need an injection of flair, creativity and skill. And FWIW, there's absolutely no chance Bonucci would sign for Arsenal. Yup When i watched a few games at the end of the season they had f*** all creativity and skill outside of Ozil and Sanchez, they were a hard working side with lots of energy but lacked the ability and movement to actually break teams down. They desperately need some creative players in the middle and some genuine quality out wide, they are the most un-Wenger like Arsenal side i have seen in a long, long time. Also they need to decide what system they want to play tbh, because if they revert to 4231 they probably need a whole new midfield because they don't have a single partnership what works in that system. The reason 343 worked for them is because it allowed to Xhaka and Ramsey to play more naturally and have an extra defender to cover them, but either way they need an injection flair like you say.
