It's difficult for Spurs to get that type of player tbh, it's not just the money it's that they are not established for many years in the same ways Arsenal are for example when they are able to get Sanchez etc etc. Money is part of it, but Liverpool have the same issue for so long they have been irrelevant to the CL stage that no player of THAT level will join them. Even when Suarez joined them he wasn't established. Pretty much every player Spurs have signed have been the same, it's probably why they signed Sissoko i doubt he was anywhere near their first choice. If they can sustain this level on and off the pitch then it won't be long till they are able to sign that level of player.

Something i have noticed is you have started quite slowly the previous two seasons, hard to quantify why but it would probably help as you seem to be playing catch up the rest of the season.
-
That's what i mean, Kane, Alli, Eriksen, Alderweireld, Lloris etc etc that's the players you should be doing everything you can to keep( unless you can somehow find better) not saying they are not either, just speaking in generalities They'll be fine selling the likes of Dier and Walker etc etc as long the manager stays.

I don't think anyone's suggesting they go completely mental, just loosening it a bit to help keep the important players who deserve it and add a few here and there. Most sides in the PL are genuinely thick when it comes to signing players so they don't need to do a massive amount from here to win the league assuming they keep the core of it together. Arsenal were in a similar position a few years ago when it comes to wage cap etc etc, it just so happened that them spending more money coincided with Wenger declining as a coach. Although in fairness to Spurs on that end Arsenal had a lot of money coming in due to paying off Emirates debts etc etc.
-
In fairness we have seen before that selling players doesn't automatically mean it all falls apart, i would argue the most important thing is keeping Pochettino.
-
I have trouble believing Spurs couldn't pay those type of wages, they just don't want to. You'd know more than me Leffe but considering who the owner is I have trouble believing it. Although this is the price of success, if you want to be a consistent contender for trophies you'll going to have to find a way.

It's obviously bollocks man, the season isn't over yet ffs. If you are going to believe everything said and written by clueless morons you'll not going to enjoy the summer as there's going to be a lot of bullshit. Ignore it, most if not all things written and reported before June are BS.

Basically, fair play to him for toughing it out but i don't think it was necessary personally.
-
Yeah for all Ashley doesn't like to spend etc etc, some of the outgoings are fucking dumb.

He's honestly been a bad manager since he left Everton, he was bad at Man Utd, continued to be so in Spain and now for Sunderland. I always thought the praise for the job he did at Everton was vastly overrated anyway but i can understand why people think otherwise. Trouble is i'm not sure who Sunderland can realistically get if they decide to move on, you could try and do a Hull and take a risk on a young manager with promise but i doubt Sunderland based on their history will do enough research to get that right. It's a tough call either way.

Probably not considering Liverpool have been linked as well, not to mention i wouldn't be surprised if he stays if they continue with this 343 stuff.
-
Not based on his performances over the last few years he isn't, none of our keepers are good enough imo.
-
Yeah i agree, just mean in the sense of buying the right players for the system Rafa wants to employ.
-
I would be surprised if we buy from many PL clubs tbh, the money is just insane. Just got to get the right players unlike before with Carr, Pardew etc etc.
-
I think eventually we will, but this summer might be too soon for all that. I hope to be wrong obviously.
-
I started to dislike him the minute he brought up Mourinho tbh

Why stop there? might as well shut down the club in general and stop trying. At least they'll be no stress. -
I knew watching that would annoy me first bloke seems all right but the second bloke was talking loads of crap.

If that result stands and Arsenal win later today, Arsenal will only be 2 points behind the top 4 with a game in hand Like clockwork.
-
I don't expect anywhere close to that tbh, as long as we are relatively comfortable and we are showing progress i'll be happy. Currently Bournemouth are 10th, it's not massively unlikely. Maybe i'm just pessimistic due to years of disappointment I'd be ecstatic if we could finish that high mind.

In fairness under Rafa ( small sample size i know ) in the PL he was pretty solid at fullback as well, i don't think it would be that easy to replace him as a back up full back. more importantly why try to address something that doesn't need addressing (yet) when there's so much more that does? Yup.

This Some really need to get realistic, we are not going to solve all our problems in one window.

Not a bad idea, was looking earlier and noticed they have 20 goals combined. Pretty good considering how bad Swansea as a whole seem to be.
