We have just lost to one of the worst teams in the division like. Who've sold there best 2 players. And its going to be a long season. We can't keep jumping on every manager after they lose a game. If he had of made the correct decisions regarding the starting line up then we wouldnt be jumping on peoples backs..... - Hanley should not have started, Mbemba was fit; - Gamez should have been integrated into the side over pre-season instead of Dummett; - Colback, we all know should not have played; - Playing Anita RW was pardew/mcclarenesque. Finally we still haven't addressed the creativity issue, the lack of goals yet he has the biggest budget of them all. No excuses, long season or not. Look I agree with everything in terms of team selection, but it's one game man. Trust the bloke who we have all be praising since he took the job to get it right next week. I'm sure he will.

We still need a DM for when we lose the ball and they get in behind our midfield, even crap players can look good if you give them space. Do you trust either Shelvey or Diame to cover each other when we lose the ball? Because I don't. It worked before because we had Carroll upfront who could hold the ball up, which limited the amount of counter attacks. Plus what happened going on 7 years is completely irrelevant, maybe we can think about it when Mitrovic is back but until then it's necessary with this personnel. The amount space between our midfield and defense would be asking "please score against us".

Yep, plus I'd argue there's players we have who were just not used or unavailable which help in this department.

Don't quite like labeling like that already. Suggests we have problems taking this league seriously. Surely after being relegated like we did you would not be taking anything for granted? In fairness he spent the rest of his time here trying to get players who lost every week to learn how not to lose, now he's got to teach them how to win and be expected to win each week. I didn't think about it before but it's not something where you can just flip a switch and immediately it will work.

Go all out for Knockaert or another proper winger, no Anita, Janmaat or any other player who isn't a winger. Knockaert plays the exact same position as Ritchie like, we're absolutely desperate for a speedy left winger I don't have an issue with Ritchie playing on the left, don't see why he can't perform there as he seems to be very 2 footed. Bigger issue is the other wing has to be someone who is of legitimate quality and not Anita.

I don't have an issue with Anita playing fullback, he should never play on the wings or in midfield though.

Need a winger IMO, if nothing else it stops the idea of Anita ever playing there again. I'm not too concerned really, i trust him to make the right changes and to get on the right track relatively quickly.

I don't mind him at fullback, in some ways i prefer him there to the ones who actually played there tonight but he should never play on the wings or in midfield as we have far better options.

I don't get this either; or people's surprise at him being left out. He'll get plenty of chances this season alongside Clark Aye if he didn't rate him he wouldn't have played him every game up till this point and to be frank he would have got rid.
