As ridiculous as it sounds there's more deserving of criticism than Ramos in that team. At the end of the day they always get it wrong so there's really no point going over it in detail.

Not sure they'll be a massive difference personally, i have no idea what Cabaye is on but i really doubt Shelvey is going to be anything less than 50k. Really don't see a scenario where Shelvey is good enough where someone wants to pay more than 10-12m for him IMO.

My question is why didn't we get Cabaye then? The price difference is completely negligible as well so it's not really a case of going for the cheaper option either.

I can think of at least 4 positions i'd strengthen before buying another striker tbh, i know its tempting to think we are not scoring at all so lets buy another striker and ignore everything else. But there is a structural issue with the team, there is no creativity, no energy, no defensive nous, no width, no pace and no aerial prowess. If you fixed even half of those problems then i bet the goals would come with the current crop, unfortunately none of this is going to happen.

No it's not just you Simeone is probably the most defensive coach in the world and allows even less freedom to his players than Mourinho does. Fair play it's working for him but they are not entertaining at all as shown by their abysmal goals tally this season.

I'm the first to complain about his shitness, but smashing Colback would leave us relying on two worse options. I prefer Anita holding (not great but than ginger bollocks in that role) with Shelvey getting forward. Colback can neither get forward or hold, well doesn't do anything well tbh. Personally i prefer all of the players mentioned to be blasted into a black hole.

Colback starts with him. They'd be our best partnership. Two CMs who are incapable of positioning themselves leaving grand canyon type holes behind them so our defence is even worse. Great....
