  1. Simpson referred to Perez, Cisse and Thauvin as a " front 3 " i'm hoping that means Sissoko isn't playing on the wing.
  2. Don't agree Costa should have been sent off, before the push it's just a standard physical battle between a striker and a defender. Then he pushed him which is deserving a yellow, Gabriel at that point shouldn't have been booked but once you book him and he kicks out at Costa you have to send him off.

  4. Right, forgot this side of the world hadn't seen it yet... Good look for you flip tbh.
  5. I'm not so sure he's definitely our best player ( Perez) but he's definitely the most consistent and so far our other talented players haven't shown it consistently like he does. I'm pretty sure that Gini, De Jong, Sissoko, Thauvin etc etc are capable of high level things like Perez does but as of right now they are not as consistent. ( bit unfair on Thauvin as he's played like two games as well as De Jong) Also i do agree with TCD in general, but without Mitrovic i would play him upfront because to be frank i believe there's enough talent around him in attacking areas so he's not isolated. It all comes back to Wijnaldum playing CM and making sure that Anita/Colback is no more. I don't see why De Jong, Thauvin, Sissoko/Aarons wouldn't support him sufficiently enough and unlike Cisse he can at least control the ball and escape in tight spaces. It's not ideal sure but it's a damn sight better than what Cisse showed against West Ham, failing that we could always try De Jong upfront as his movement and intelligence is extremely good and he's already shown an ability to hold the ball up.
  6. I agree but tbf that's not the only thing they are talking about doing tbf.
  7. Nobody said you have a go at people, it's the incessant " i know more than anyone " attitude in every post. It's tiring to read it over and over again. It's the ego that people have a problem with not the posts in isolation.
  8. This exact thing happened in Spain in the 80s, which ushered our current release clause system. I don't think the EU can't wave through a system that fundamentally prevents workers from leaving their jobs, so I believe there's a big chance they will rule in FIFPro's favor. This doesn't automatically translate into the kind of system they seem to desire, though. I.e. in Spain it was ruled that sportsmen could indeed leave clubs freely. What clubs did is introduce release fees in their contracts, those "release fees" are actually compensation sportsmen agree to pay if they don't see the end of their contracts. I'd like it if it was ruled in their favor tbh, although i fear it won't and i completely agree with them that currently the system is definitely anti-competition.
  9. Some good ideas tbh. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/sep/18/fifpro-transfer-fees-could-go-fifa-brussels?CMP=share_btn_tw It won't happen though sadly.
  10. It sounds a stupid thing to say considering how many goals we have conceded, but i can't think of anything Coloccini and Mbemba have done wrong since Swansea. Most of the goals we have conceded have been due to errors from others, mainly the " DMs" and the fullbacks, i might be wrong but i'm quite sure that Sissoko and Wijnaldum plus 4 attackers couldn't make things any worse and there's the added bonus of actually being able to push teams back and make them worry about us for once.
  11. Fernandinho was an attacking box to box midfielder before he joined City and he's paired with Toure, there's many more examples. Mourinho and Makelele has made people think you can't have a midfield without at least one player who does nothing but defend.
  12. I know but it's not the main reason the coefficient points are so bad, Bundesliga basically got a 4th spot on the back of great EL results. It actually matters a lot to the overall points total and the clubs overall disdain over many years for it could if it continues come back to haunt them.
  13. Aye, he's a great player to watch Aye but again he wouldn't be competing with Sissoko for a place in the France squad so the bloke is still talking out of his arse. Payet is competing with players like Griezmann and Griezmann shits all over him from a massive height.
  14. Napoli went to the semi's in EL which got them decent amount of points. Forgot about that. Apparently England is OK for 4 Champions League places next season but they could lose the 4th spot the following season. Italy are catching England up and have gained a lot of co-efficient points through their success in the Europa League which most of our clubs discount as a waste of time. It would be rather amusing if our attitude to the Europa League led to us losing that 4th spot. Was how Italy lost theirs in the first place, you would think it would make others learn but obviously not.

  16. More teams other than Juventus would need to perform for once surely?
  17. Just switching every time there is a goal or meaningful moment. edit: Fucking hell that Roma goal
  18. Enjoying this CL goals thing with the European team on BT Sport ESPN.
