  1. He better put that unhappiness to good use and start picking the right players then, i'm gonna give him a chance obviously but some of the team selections have been really poor.
  2. As if that would have made any difference to tonight or any of the games so far.
  3. Keep telling yourself that because nobody actually thinks that, because most consider him our best DM which isn't hard don't mean we think he's the best thing ever. A large number think he's miles better than Colback and then there's stuff like "Anita's been criticised by quite a few, most of them without any vision" In that position yes, because Colback is incapable of playing that position because his positional awareness is disgustingly crap. Up to me i'd get rid of both, my biggest stance on it is though is Anita is actually a DM and positions himself properly most of the time, Colback is a CM in the Gosling mould although obviously he's not Gosling bad and can't play DM to save his life.
  4. Definitely needs to play, the question is what to do with the rest. For me i'd play Perez upfront just because of how awful Cisse was and Sissoko and Thauvin on the wings. Although Sissoko needs to buck his ideas up as well because when Mitrovic comes back i wouldn't be against benching him either. Most important thing at this point is that De Jong, Perez and Wijnaldum are starting don't really care for the rest until they prove otherwise atm.

  6. He is, i watched him play a few times in France. At no stage did he ever look comfortable on the left. Even though he wasn't consistent was always much better on the right. Not actually sure we do scout these players tbh. Him on the left, Sissoko on the right and Wijnaldum behind the striker are all very wrong. To get an idea of it, playing on the left is about as stupid as when Ben Arfa used to play there and he doesn't have Hatem's burst of pace.
  7. He looks uncomfortable there, so much better on the right.
  8. Don't particularly think he's a CF but he should play there until Mitrovic is back as Cisse is fucking abysmal.
  9. Seriously though if McClaren can't see after that first half that we need Perez or De Jong if not both to be starting he probably never will. It's clear as fucking day.
  10. No one said he's the best thing since sliced bread But he's by far the best DM we have and did little wrong in that half, the players in front of him are supposed to create the chances and score the goals and as of now they are doing fuck all.
  11. Creating absolutely fuck all, don't really like Thauvin on the left either tbh. De Jong and Perez both have to be on, maybe Aarons as well.
  12. He needs to learn eventually that this 4231 shit isn't gonna work with this team.
  13. Assumed you meant he's been told that's what McClaren is gonna do, just looked at his feed and that's his opinion on what he'd do.
  14. I am don't think i'm ever letting that go.
  15. Aye it depends, sometimes i won't remember someone at all. Although just using that example Matic was really the only Benfica player that impressed me against us the rest were pretty underwhelming IMO. But yeah if i'm purposely looking to see a player it doesn't take a lot usually for me to see enough to be able to say what he's good at or not. In no way do i usually watch a player for 30 odd games before i feel i can do that, would be a huge waste of time.
  16. I hope Ashley was the one who said that and McClaren doesn't agree with it So much if he actually believes it, hopefully it was just Ashley telling him that though.
  17. The league isn't very strong though, although to be frank i think pretty much every major league is pretty crap tbh. It's genuinely like arguing which dog s*** smells the best, as all of them outside a small section of teams have extremely crap below them. So what you're basically saying is 99.9% of all football in the world is s****. Give over man. Most of the best players have been collected to a small group of teams, say 10 max so yes. While I understand where you're coming from, it's hyperbole. You can watch good entertaining football at plenty of grounds around the world. Never said you couldn't tbf, you don't necessarily have to be a great team to play good and entertaining football. More that even so that best players have been collected by a small group of teams so even if those teams look good at the end of the day the competition as a whole is lesser than it was. Even La Liga, which most people praise teams like Sevilla, Villarreal etc etc they are still nowhere near the top 3 which is the same in England and it wasn't always like this. Don't get me wrong i love watching them, but when has there ever been a time in history when the best forward for Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil all played for the same team? It's why i mainly just watch the CL, the top players for the most part all play 9 or 10 teams max.
  18. Who said it was a strong opinion? it was an opinion, i never said that it was fact or that i'm genuinely convinced i'm right. The answer to your question is i saw Ajax about half a dozen times in CL/EL while he was there and some against English opposition. Same for Anita, which is why i was quite excited when we signed him as he impressed me when i saw him. Mainly because i thought at the time it meant a change in style of play obviously dead wrong on that one. When i give an opinion of an player, i don't always watch dozens of games and usually it's the opposite but i don't believe for the most part you need to watch much to understand what a player can and can't do tbh.
  19. I don't think he's capable of playing well now tbf, but that's not either here nor there tbh.
  20. Never has done since he left though in fact it's been the exact opposite, which points to the chance of him being "on form " being close to zero.
  21. Never said he wasn't, De Jong is better though which is what i said.
  22. He'll muller Colo in the air if he does. Colo has dealt with him very easily almost every team he's faced him since he left, he's always a complete non factor against us. It's funny because he should cause him problems but Colo has found defending him very easy.
  23. When i said that i meant as in he's not gonna contribute much to overall midfield play from deep and he's great at ghosting in positions to score. He's obviously a lot more intelligent and overall a much better footballer, Sheringham isn't a bad shout actually in terms of style although i do believe Sheringham was better.
