Telegraph think it will be a 4-3-1-2 with Hatem as the "1" and Marveaux alongside Tiote and Anita in the midfield 3 I'll believe that when i see it. -
I agree with him the building good play and keeping the ball and going forward part it's honestly more important than the system is atm.

HOOOOOFFFFF!!!!! It shouldn't be. All three are very tidy footballers on their day. Tidy footballers at times, yes. Techinically impressive footballers, no. I'd argue Anita is, the others nah. -
Finding the lack of confidence in Pardew a bit concerning tbh we are only 3 points off Spurs after all it's not like we are struggling at the bottom of the table. Sure the performances has been crap but surely last season brought him more than 11 games of confidence.

Can't say i'm surprised still more than we would pay mind.

Considering our current form i'm not sure how sensible it really is

Haven't we tried that midfield three just once? And not that any other of our midfield combinations have worked either, so far. Rather use Marveaux or Hatem behind Ba with wingers either side of them than that midfield 3 tbh as pointed out it has no creativity at all. Don't see the point of playing wingers when no c*** is prepared to get in the box. Ah good point i must admit my whole idea is revolved around us actually passing the bloody football but i am still concerned about the lack of creativity in that middle 3. A lot relies on Hatem as per usual. -

More than what we can afford tbh.....

My fave goal from that WBA game was Cisse's 2nd.... The dribble and link up from Ben Arfa to Ba who backheeled it to Ben Arfa who in turn cut it back for Cisse. It was beautiful

Quite enjoyed this piece on Zlatan from Gab Marcotti http://soccernet.espn.go.com/blog/_/name/espnfcunited/id/1669?cc=5739

All overrating aside all 4 goals were pretty darn good Just scoring 4 goals deserves praise in it self IMO regardless if it's a friendly.

50m didn't get them Carroll and Downing
-
The media are wanking over it at every opportunity too which doesn't help matters.

Why i said " i'd like " i fully expect 4-4-2 with Cisse instead of Marveaux. -
Can't believe i'm going to say this but i think Zlatan's was better than Cisse's
-
No Jamie the world did not wake up to it, England woke up to it.
-

Yeah don't rule it out Personally i'd like to see this..... Tiote Anita HBA Marveaux Ferguson Ba -
I actually rate Cleverly I'd rather than him than Osman at this stage because Osman is 31 and we should be looking to the future Osman should have been picked years ago but it's too late now IMO. Carrick is a great player too he's the only player we have who can play the "Busquets" Role think he's terribly underrated in this country tbh. It's easy to say he plays because he plays for Man U but it's really not true in these cases we don't have many better midfielders. When they are all fit i would pick Carrick-Cleverly-Wilshere personally.

I don't find it a coincidence that the majority are defenders and i don't find a coincidence either that Demba is the only forward who has performed when he's the only one who fits this style of play and system.

I'm just saying it's a indication that other than Ben Arfa he's the only one in the team capable of passing forwards that isn't a long ball. We will miss him, bad form or not we just don't have any creative players behind him. I'm not a massive fan of stats btw i just find it quite worrying when there's only really 2 creative threats in the team and they spend more time winning the ball than actually creating things for the strikers. I hope West Ham was the game that gives the kick up the arse it needs but i some how doubt it.
