  1. It's not that it's not acceptable, it's just none of them are good enough to demand it.

    Isaac Hayden

That's not my issue with him, his first touch is very erratic and struggles under pressure. He can get away with it in the Championship but in the PL it results in either giving the ball away or the ball just stopping. He's not alone though, a lot of the team struggle under pressure.
  3. I noticed it last season from the little bits i watched, but Spurs showed today they seriously lack creativity outside of Eriksen when teams sit back like that. They needed someone who can open a defence up, but everyone was just running into 3 bodies every time. Can't see them ever winning the league until that changes. Players like Alli, Dembele are class when there's a bit space but in games like today they sorely needed someone put a pass through to stretch the defence, Eriksen can do that obviously but he needs help.
  4. We were watching different games, quite clearly. I don't recall him being pushed off the ball very often at all. Hate this place when we lose tbh, people lose our rationality.
  5. Are our players much worse than Huddersfields? Some coaching on how to keep and pass the ball might be nice. Technique wise? yes they are. Merino was the only one today i was comfortable with controlling the ball under pressure, i feel like some tough decisions need to be made around players who were reasons for our promotion last year.
  6. Yeah that's not true at all, one of the reasons i think Rafa will play them together is because he didn't look like the typical DM we have signed over the years as in i don't remember being pushed off the ball too easily. We need to get as much technique in the team as possible, the lack ability to control a ball under pressure was present throughout the team.
  7. Not as appalling as the most of the team was for the majority of the game tbh.
  8. I wonder if Rafa will partner him with Shelvey when he gets back, he didn't look like he's easy to knock off the ball and Hayden like a lot of the players Rafa signed for the Championship i don't think are PL level.
  9. Thought he was very good in the second half, practically the only player on the team who can actually control a football under pressure. What a concept.
  10. Has to start, can actually control a football and lay it off to the midfield around him.
  11. Looking for positive rays of hope, thought Merino looked really good in the second half and Joselu has to start as we looked much better ( not hard mind) as a team as he can actually control a football.
  12. he had more than that. Huddersfield's 2nd goal at our place comes to mind. In fairness though, i can think of way more errors from Lascelles who doesn't get anywhere near as much criticism.
  13. Not having that, all they have done all half is w*** over their striker like he's the second coming of Drogba. Then go on about how millions of chances Huddlesfield have created when Elliot's had f*** all to do other than the shot from Ince which came from a poor Atsu pass and Ritchie's chance was far better than that. It's been a s*** game from both teams, but they are acting like they are the second coming. I had to mute it after 20 minutes, such was the incessant bollocks they kept repeating.
  14. Had to mute Sky after about 20 minutes, sick of listening to all their bollocks. Apparently we are all over the place defensively when the only chance i recall them having was a long range Ince chance after Atsu gave the ball away when Ritchie's chance was far better than that. Also the bollocks about how Mounie is the inventor of heading a football, fuck off with your bullshit.
  15. I know i keep saying this But genuinely, you would do yourself a favour to do something other than watch Sky during the pre match. I does wonders for your long term mental health.
  16. There's a reason i don't watch pre and post match coverage, it's always fucking wank.
  17. Really? He came on last weekend, so it was always going to be him starting today. Yep, the team is exactly as expected.
  18. De Jong didn't even make the bench last weekend. Unless he's had an incredible week of training, then why would he jump from not being in the 18 to starting? Horses for courses? Pretty sure we saw a few lineups last season where someone (ok usually Mitro or Murphy) would go from out the squad to first 11 That was in the championship though, completely different story now. Doubt De Jong is anywhere near the team.
  19. Kaka wouldn't be saying this if Welbeck wasn't messing up like a dozen Ozil passes a game, also the other problem because Ramsey was running around like a headless chicken forcing Ozil deeper so Xhaka wasn't isolated. Ramsey is talented obviously but he totally imbalances the midfield to the point that Elneny would actually be better for the team, basically Arsenal need a new midfielder. Welbeck though, i was shocked how crap he was and shocked even further when Wenger took Lacazette off and left him on.
  20. My biggest takeaway from that game is Welbeck is fucking shit.
  21. It really annoys me when I hear "pundits" analyse Arsenal's defending against Leicester and completely ignore they were without 4 CBs. Every team in the league would look crap defensively in the same scenario, but no let's act like it was their best available defensive unit. Utterly frustrating to hear.
  22. West Ham are crap but I wouldn't be surprised if Hernandez will basically be their Defoe. Could see them really struggling otherwise.
