  1. Based on yesterday they'll still probably be shit.
  2. It doesn't mean anything IMO, if we sign Perez then that might mean something.
  3. As i have already said we need both, while you are probably right that's depressing in of itself.
  4. It's not, he's replacing Murphy. That's clear as day. We don't need to replace Murphy, we need a genuine Premier class striker. We need both.
  5. Not sure where you got the idea he's pacey mind.
  6. It's not, he's replacing Murphy. That's clear as day. In our striking pecking order, he will go above Mitro. That's clear as day! Maybe he will, maybe he won't. But Rafa will want someone a little better than Joselu to be their 2nd choice striker. Quite obvious he's replacing Murphy, Target man off the bench who he can rely on.
  7. He stamped on him man, yes Kane should have been sent off but there's excuse or argument for Shelvey.
  8. He's a target man, he's basically replacing Murphy in the squad. It's fine and all but we obviously need much more. ( as always)
  9. It's not, he's replacing Murphy. That's clear as day.
  10. Aye i don't agree with this at all, the reason they are so good is Ronaldo in conjuction with the midfield behind him. Ronaldo isn't creating chances by himself, he's getting goals created for him by the best midfielders around. Of course he's the best finisher on the planet, but i'm with Triggs here even if they sold Ronaldo they'd still probably be better than everyone else. They obviously wouldn't replace him with someone like Hazard or Dybala anyway, they'd want a finisher not a creator.
  11. While i agree, let's not kid ourselves. Our lack of chance creation has been a problem for years
  12. I know we all want a striker and rightly so, but i don't think it's the most important thing anymore. What's the point in a striker when the team doesn't create chances?
  13. No chance Diame is playing, Rafa will put Ritchie behind the striker before doing that.
  14. I don't think we are really in the position to be picky tbh, 6 weeks ago I'd probably agree with you.
  15. Thought Manquillo looked useful in the final third and was clearly frustrated about a couple of balls that didn't reach him, but he had a mare for the second goal. While that's true I don't want to criticise too much, it's extremely hard for anyone to stay in position when you are down to 10 men.
  16. Aye that's the reason Sissoko was booed, I really wish these morons would actually do their jobs for once.
  17. If you looked at just the result 0-2 against last year's runner's up then absolutely true, however if you look a bit deeper, at how we played, how much effort Spuds had to expend to beat us comfortably, how the vast majority of the team performed, there is a hell of a lot to be worried about, I fear it'll get worse before it gets any better, Huddersfield is going to be extremely tough. Rafa already starting to look p*ssed off and who can blame him ? Nope because i thought we'd be solid defensively before the game and before Shelvey's idiotic stamp we were, i thought we lacked creativity all summer long and we did. There was nothing there that surprised me to the point i would change my mind about anything.
  18. I genuinely don't know why anyone would change their opinion based on today, there was literally nothing which happened which was particularly shocking or unexpected.
  19. Merino did look good but it's probably not a fair comparison, i am looking forward to seeing Merino next week from the start mind.
  20. Aye but he hasn't played like that for Chelsea in like 18 months(not his fault mind), what Conte should be angry about more than selling Matic is not replacing him with someone who can create from deep. Kante does all the ball winning anyway, Chelsea's real issue and why their seasons go from champion to s*** all the time is because Hazard is literally the only creative player in the squad. Well Fabregas, but i don't really need to explain why that isn't good enough. Based on how their team is built, i really don't have a problem with them selling Matic. What i do have a problem is not using that money to get Hazard some help and give more balance to the team.
  21. Because with Kante he's utterly pointless, when he's the only DM he's a great player though and his performance today didn't surprise me. Pogba was brilliant. He was brilliant beside Kante last season. Conte didn't want to sell him and that speaks volumes. They've made a huge mistake. If Morata doesn't hit the ground running Chelsea will be in a fight for fourth never mind the title. Can see Conte walking. Brilliant is a bit much( he certainly never had a performance as good as today), he wasn't that good because he was asked to do more than just break up play because Kante does that. There's nothing wrong with selling him, the real error is replacing him with an inferior version instead of replacing him with someone who can add more balance to the team. He's perfect for Man Utd mind and more importantly Pogba.
