  1. What? I don't particularly rate him and I don't think we need him. I would hazard a guess and say I've seen more of him than you have? I've never seen the guy play but he has to be better than Dan Gosling?! A Tiote type player is essential to the system and the way we play - what happens when he gets injured, suspended or goes to the ACON? He's not really like Tiote tbh, he's a DM but not the Tiote type. Playmaking type of DM more than the destroyer type. One of the reasons i see no reason why Tiote, Cabaye and Anita can't play together in a midfield 3 as they would compliment each other fantastically IMO. I would of thought that's the plan anyway so it's nothing to be concerned about. xabi alonso type? Nope hard to explain what he's like, i would say Busquets but Anita seems to more comfortable in controlling the tempo of the game he does share some skillsets that Alonso has but Alonso has much better vision and passing range. Personally i expect Tiote to break things up, Anita to control things in the middle with Cabaye just ahead being the b2b midfielder but very creative. Assuming of course we go with a midfield 3 of course, will also help us stop the ridiculous score lines of last season as with them 3 in midfield we would be able to control games more and not be counter attacked at will.

  3. I'd like to know that as well because quite frankly it's between him and Kagawa for one of my midfield spots, tbh i think he should he start but they would have to drop Lampard or Ramires and i see it as unlikely at least at first.
  4. Exactly, if i was him i'd be doing the exact same thing.
  5. Said it a million times, but as long as we get the players we want before the deadline i really couldn't care less if it happens tomorrow or August 31st.
  6. It depends really if we get another attacking fullback in then i don't see it as an issue, what Anita is really is a defensive playmaker he will do more in an attacking sense as far as building attacks go than any bog-standard DM. If we do play with 3 forwards and 2 attacking fullbacks and Cabaye is in the role he played against Stoke etc etc then we would need someone like Anita. I don't really call it defensive, balanced and fluid yes but not defensive and quite frankly i would expect to see that midfield 3 against most teams depending on injuries, rotation etc etc small or not. Personally i can't see us spending 6m on a back up midfielder, he will start IMO he's right to talk to the manager first to understand what we want from him but i would be quite shocked if he isn't being bought to start alongside Tiote and Cabaye.
  7. You know full well it isn't the same lol, we would be "caving in " to sign a international RB for 6m hardly being ripped off tbh and it's still a great deal. I'm still confident that at some point between now and when the window closes that either Lille will accept what we give them or we give them a improved offer which they will accept. None the less going from 5m to 6m is hardly "caving in".

Cisse out wide though? In any case i enjoyed that, decent read and not the usual stuff you expect from the media.
  9. Two strikers in a Moyes XI? Highly doubt it. Mirallas can play wide too.
  10. Actually the difference is that this is taking ages to happen. Normally we don't hear anything in the media cause it takes hours to happen, not weeks... We agreed a deal about 2 days ago man

  12. Some would argue that a better player wouldn't have allowed it to get to that stage in the first place.... So all his goal line clearances came about from him f***ing up initially? Doubt that. Didn't mean that, i meant having better players would mean keeping the ball better so less chances for the opposition and we wouldn't need to defend for our lives as often and need to make goal-line clearances. Obviously not all Simpson's fault but still a point that should be made.
  13. Meet them half way, 500k The rumour is that the club doesn't want to budge because they thought they had an agreement with Lille, only for them to demand more. I wouldn't call it a rumour tbh, Pardew has been quoted as saying as much.

  15. in all seriousness though that's a good signing for them IMO.

After seeing he paid 10m for Curtis Davies and 8.5m for Nigel Reo-Coker i refuse to be surprised by this man's transfer dealings anymore.
  17. especially when he seems more concerned about the football than the millions. the t*** eh ? Exactly the lack of transfer activity has made some people on here go completely nuts and jump to conclusions. Sorry if there's been some confusion. I earlier posted 'Involvement of player's Dad = problem IMO', and I assumed that the above were responses. I'm not sure what involvement his father has. As I said, I don't think having family as your agent is a good idea. If his Dad isn't professional involved, I can't see why he's piping up. I agree with that in a sense there's too much emotion involved but even so i don't see it being an issue. Personally all Anita want's to know us his role in the team, wages i don't see being an issue at all.

They can always stick with Richardson and we can witness Ben Arfa rape him 2 times a year for the rest of his career. That will do nicely as well.
