While i agree with that in a sense it's not like we would have to pay huge money to get him. His fee is apparently in between 6 and 6.5m pounds which really is'nt a great deal of money in this day and age to gamble over. If we fail to buy him over the difference of a million which is apparently the difference atm then it's a bit silly imo.

Would have thought so, with Rodriquez in behind Lambert. They should be playing some decent football with that front 4 and with Clyne at RB as well. I look forward to watching them personally.

It was blatent why they bought Podolski, Giroud and Cazorla, he knew this was happening. If Song goes out though i expect him to be replaced, but not much else. Still a very good team and should finish top 4 quite easily tbh but won't challenge for the league like they realistically could have done if they kept RVP and Song.

Sandro-Livermore then? better than Livermore-Jenas but i'm still confident we can get that better of that.

The problem with Simpson is and the same goes for Williamson that if you want to be a attacking passing game he's nigh on useless. He's a decent defender who will do a job for you defensively but to cover for the fact going forward and in possession he offers nothing the whole team has to be reigned back a play a bit more defensively as a team. Which is why we saw the type of football we saw on occasion last season, the likes of Williamson and Simpson cannot play the type of football we all want to see. They are stoppers basically.

Genuinely don't see why we'd need or want him. One of my friends is a city fan, and he says he's nowhere near what he's cracked up to be... "A typical Match Of The Day player"... i.e. does a couple of nice passes, or nice runs in a game, but lacks any real work ethic and hugely inconsistent. We already have good options on the wings anyway. That is exactly how i'd describe him and besides i'm happy with our wing options and we have much more pressing concerns than buying a winger. Buying Johnson would really be an extremely poor mans version of Man Utd buying RVP, we would just be massaging our ego rather than strengthening actual weak spots.

What a quality signing that is for Southampton further re-inforces why i think they are going to be the Norwich of this season. I heard about that yesterday on Twitter actually and thought it was usual ITK bullshit but it seems not.

Dawson is their captain which makes it more likely he'll start over Kaboul. Which was my thinking, sure he's club captain after King's retirement. Don't know if he is or not but Kaboul is first choice as he was fantastic last season and Vertonghen will obviously play.
