  1. In theory not necessarily, it should be the system we use but we could also play 4-3-1-2 with Hatem behind Ba and Cisse but give him the freedom to move across the front line and use fullbacks to provide extra width. Or a 4-2-3-1 with Cabaye centre attacking, Ben Arfa right attack and Ba left attack I would prefer that also but Pardew seems to have promised Ba a central role this year.
  2. Don't really think so either, Jonas looked poor in that position against Liverpool even though we won comfortably, although he's mile better technically. I'm pretty confident we will get a fullback in before the deadline anyways, Debuchy or not.

Maybe. Hope it's not a flat 4-4-2 in any case, it's not really a great system for the players we have. Agree 100%

  5. From how highly Ajax seem to rate him I am pretty confident he's going to be a class player. Not like us to shell out big money for a dud these days. But yeah, I'm slightly concerned that Tiote could be sold now. Why would we need two top class DMs? Because if we sign Debuchy or an attacking fullback we will two fullbacks bombing on, it makes sense for the balance of the team.
  6. Isn't Maher more of a AM than a DM though?
  7. They are not even in for him man they want the Marseille RB. Plus Debuchy has made it clear on many occasions he wants to join us.
  8. No worries they want that Azpilicueta fella
  9. Not completely sure about that tbh. Will need to see consistent performances before being convinced.
  10. He will start, just a typical get injured before international friendly lark.... i will be surprised if any of our players questioned wont start. It's too coincidental that he suddenly gets an injury before a meaningless friendly.
  11. That and the midfield is too predictable and one-paced, definitely see why Oscar will be so important to them.
  12. Wonder how many goals Tevez and Aguero can get if they stay together all season and Tevez doesn't f*ck off to caddy some Argentine golfer
  13. Injured apparently, anyway as for thier signings i dont see Marin doing much mainly a Mata back up, Hazard will show flashes of brilliance but wont show what he's really about till next season and Oscar will be one of the players of the season i see him adapting fast.
  14. Typical english pundity tbh, down play the players we have hardly seen and over hype the players we have seen. A lot like how we were weaker when we sold Nolan and Barton tbh He has a point in a way 3 attacking midfielders (no matter how good) doesn't replace a RB & a striker. Ivanovic or Torres get injured and Chelsea are f***ed. Suppose, although Drogba was pretty shit in the league last season and they seem to be wanting a RB and a striker before the deadline.

  16. Didn't hear about that and i'm 99% certain it's another one to get him out of the meaningless international friendly. Colo's going to want to play in it considering he hasn't played for the national side for about 2 years. Cisse wanted to play in the Olympics and we all see what happened there, anyway i'm sure he does but if he pulls out he will start on Saturday i'm pretty certain of that.
  17. Was deciding whether to go to the Gym or watch the football, luckily Neil's post has helped me make a decision.
