    Alan Pardew

I think he brought Shola on to help defend the set peni so we could win the 0-0.

Does he mean our fans have been saying this? Because i haven't heard anyone say this tbh.
  3. Hatem is pretty big these days.
  4. I'd say Sandro of Spurs is very underrated imo.
  5. Kompany is living off last seasons performances, been very average this time round, Baines is an english John Arne Riise and Suarez isn't the god of football Liverpool fans and commentators would like you to believe. Hell be nowhere near as good once he leaves Liverpool. Wonder why? I actually partially agree with the first bit, but after that it all goes downwards. Suarez outside of Liverpool would probably be a top 5 footballer in the world. He's a c***, but he's a brilliant player and is the best player in the league with Bale at the moment and has been all season. Sorry, but theres no way Suarez is a top 5 player in the world. I hate to admit it, because i think he's an absoloute c***, but i agree he's been quality this season. He's in the 'world class' bracket of players, but top 5 is just way too much imo.
  6. Wayne Rooney - Not the world class player everyone will have you believe. Gareth Bale - Very good but the hype is ridiculous at the minute. Have even heard some people say he's top 5 in the world, which imo, is just insane.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Don't forget, he was available from the bench for a lot of last season aswell, from about September onwards, but for whatever reason Pardew preferred Obertan or R. Taylor.
  8. On the plus side, we will get to see how (arguably) our strongest midfiled three look together.
  9. Might as well have selected Debuchy for the EL squad, if he's just going to use MYM at RB.

The only player Ba ever brought into play was himself. Scored plenty though so people were happy to overlook his greedyness. The amount of times a move would break down just because he'd shoot instead of playing a pass to someone in a better position, was ridiculous. It was great when he was scoring and we were winning , but it p*ssed me off big time when we were chasing games. He was all about the personal glory IMO.
  11. The heart is saying 2-1 to us The head is saying 3-1 to them. Would be more than happy to come away with a point though and keep some momentum.
  12. Yep, Graham Carr will surely be following him. He might be a bit too expensive for us at this point though.
  13. Just watched a video of the French players at arriving at Clairefontaine ahead of the Germany match. It looks like our boy MYM is rooming with Romain Alessandrini. Hopefully he's tapping him up in true Yo Cabs style for next season. You'd have to imagine the Chelsea match and atmosphere will be a topic of discussion at some point.

So excited atm about the return of this man, I can't even explain the feel. Imagine if he has a run in like the end of last season man.

  16. Problem is Tiote doesn't stay in front of the back four anymore. He thinks he's the playmaker of the team. He lacks discipline positionally and in his tackling. He's stopped playing the simple pass and opts for passes out of his range. He needs to stop dwelling on the ball and cut out the ridiculous shots from 40 yards. Theres still a quality player in there somewhere though IMO, he just needs to get back to basics. If he does that he can still be a big player for us.
  17. I know, it pisses me off when i hear fans say he's a box-to-box midfielder, or he should be used as the furthest forward midfielder.
  18. Personally, I think Anita, if used properly is a fantastic in the DM role of a midfield three. For Ajax he was the hub of the team, dropping deep to pick the ball up from the centre back and starting moves, always giving an option in possession and keeping the team ticking over. He seemed to anticipate situations and intercept things well, which made up for his lack of physicality. I think if we played Yanga-Mbiwa alongside Coloccini at the back, with santon and debuchy as fullbacks, the team would be better set up for anita to pick the ball up from the defenders and start moves, allowing us to have more posession and control in games. Something that hasn't been possible up to this point because of Williamson and Simpsons lack of ability in posession/hoofs up field. I still don't think we've seen the best of Anita at all, and he hasn't been properly used in his best role yet. I feel for him tbh.
  19. I just think from a man management point of view, it would send the wrong message to just throw Tiote back in as soon as he returns. He was in shocking form before he left, so why not make him sweat a bit and earn his place back in the team? We've been doing ok in the last two games without him and you never know, it might be the kick up the arse he needs to get back to form. If Tiote could keep things simple and get back to the from he showed in his first season, a midfield three with Cabaye and Sissoko would be wank worthy.
  20. We will be unchanged for Spurs IMO. I Can't see Pardew changing a team thats won two in a row. I think they probably deserve it aswell.
  21. 6.5 year deal concerns me. What if he turns out to be a flop?
