  1. He was probably just pissed off as wasn't playing and didn't want to talk about it.

    Sunderland

    Wow, that's utterly embarrassing.
  3. Saved me a post. Albrighton too. Yeah, I know. My point is did Leicester fans only cheer those players or the average players as well? We're bitching at average players as though it's their fault Ashley didn't get the decent players. I found that distasteful.
  4. Danny Simpson and Wes Morgan won the premiership title for Christsakes
  5. Maybe. But this is a poor squad. Joselu, Atsu, Diame, Yedlin/Dummett, Manquillo etc. No players who can beat a man, a weak midfield (bar shelvey), dodgy full backs, Ritchie is just a worker, Perez can't find form. Kenedy is a good player and we have good CB's/Keeper. That's it really, though. This team is full of hard working, average footballers, bereft of creativity, and we have no game changing subs. That's not good. Yeah sorry, I definitely agree with the squad being very poor. But with Rafa and 2 added top players I think it would be a team to be respected. I just don't like bitching about players who are not those top players. Every team outside top 5/6 has a selection of average players, they just enough quality to carry them. That ratio gets worse the farther you go down.
  6. Yeah, not sure I agree with that especially when some aren't shit. A proper no. 10 and a striker and we'd be comfortable. That's not the players fault. Edit - per the supporting/shit comment, not squad garbage which there clearly is
  7. Resembling footballers? Give over. Fernandez, Kenedy are decent. Muto settling and promising and Rondon TBC. Ki currently seems tripe and Schar is cover cos of Lejuene. Hate"fans" slating players as though it's their fault other key positions weren't strengthened. Guess we can only support the best ones. And then cry hypocritically when they show no loyalty.
  8. More games in the championship with less turnaround so can understand the need for bodies.
  9. Not sure I agree but I've never been a professional footballer so I don't know. But, considering some of the players you have mentioned are ones that might need replacing then I'm not too sure how valid it is, and it's not like they agitated for a move in the summer so would indicate they're not that disillusioned. Plus, any team from 12 downwards is kind of in the same boat. What are they playing for?

Guy is lightweight, I canned my own kids off when they decided to like marmite.
  11. Of course he wouldn't. That's more pr bollocks as if that was the case why not just sign a contract saying he can spend x amount or walk for nothing Has a contract like that ever been signed? Are you a lawyer? Im going to assume the answer to both is no.
  12. I largely enjoyed last season and will always be grateful to Rafa for that as suspect it could be the last for some time. However, wish he'd left in the summer in all honesty. The ridiculous reported standoff that Ashley would only back him if he signed a new contract and Rafa reportedly only signing if he was backed didn't help anyone. Would Ashley have? Probably not but we'll never truly know I guess. He has spent/wasted (McLaren) in the past so maybe. Either way, Rafas stubbornness was built out of wariness of Ashley over repeated broken promises, whereas Ashley's was not wanting to lose face. Surely you'd trust a man of Rafas integrity? But suspect Ashley would have seen blinking first as weakness.
  13. "The landlord's unrealistic rental expectations are putting unfair pressure on Mike who has selflessly saved HOF from ruin"
  14. That seems a lot...did I miss him threatening to kill him?
  15. Yeah that is a good point actually, Pards did become the focal point and people coming out on behalf of Rafa is helping.
  16. I mean, I get where Tubes is coming from in some ways. If there was another Pards-esque manager then they would be another target as with the Bishop or Charnley. That would turn the stadium toxic (crying Pards ) increasing the pressure and media awareness. Respect for Rafa is muting that avenue of 'attack'. However, implying Rafa is staying for selfish reasons is probably off the mark and repeating it incessantly everywhere rather grating
  17. Rafa's or Mitro's? Either way could you sum up please? I'm paraphrasing, but "Rafa wanted me to press from the front, that's not my game, I get tired doing that, my game is crosses in the box, I tried adapting but I couldn't do it." Wish people would move on. He was never going to play under Rafa and asking Rafa to adapt his ways and tactics which have given him so much success down the years to accommodate him is daft. If Rafa was backed it would be more black and white than simply Mitro being sold and proving a world beater whilst Rafa prefers Joselu/Rondon. This. The sensible solution was for Rafa to be backed with a striker he wanted. Whether it can be claimed Rondon is that backing is another matter. However, assuming Rafa is leaving at the end of the season and we have only loaned Rondon, in retrospect it's a shame we didn't loan Mitro out. A new manager probably would have played to his strengths and can't help but feel that we'll be a lot weaker next summer without him. Fuck this shit. Fuck this shit because Ashley is likely to be here still; so what's the point of the above? If that goes to plan (a new manager complementing Mitro), then I'm sure there is something else that Ashley would have fucked up. Sorry mate, this is the Mitrovich thread. Obviously we could post on every thread that it's pointless discussing <insert thread name> because of Ashley, in which case let's lock the football forum down and replace with a sub-forum called Mike Ashley, with one thread also called Mike Ashley.

  19. Why couldn't he have got Rafa in instead of Steve. Rafa with that summer spending...
  20. Not sure on what basis we would be worth more? Watford have invested in their squad over the last few years whilst we haven't. And in the training ground, infrastructure etc. If you think about what a new owner would need to invest in to get us up to speed: training ground improvements, academy investment, playing staff investment, you're looking at a lot of cash, probably £150m minimum. Yeah, I live in Watford and the stadium used to be a shit hole, in a shit location. The location is still ropey but the stadium has been given a massive makeover especially externally and I'd say it's improved that particular area as looks so much better. They also had a stand closed due to disrepair that has obviously been fixed now.
  21. Richard Dunne is a certified piss head. The rest though, got Bishops hoof prints all over it. 100% they have a narrative that these ex players & managers are more than happy to swallow. If all of these fuckers appearing on sky are or have recently been represented by KBA, should we be complaining to Sky about it? Has to be some sort of conflict of interest, or are they supposed to give a balanced view of things? Am surprised the local journos haven’t written more about this. Come on man, there always needs to be 2 sides to a discussion or else what's the point? Should Shearer be allowed to comment about us as sure he has a bias towards NUFC. Carragher got a champions league medal under Rafa - should he be banned from supporting him? Fact is, a lot of people will give Ashley a lot of credit for "helping" us to get promoted after relegation unlike clubs like Sunderland, Aston Villa etc. I'd much rather these morons were given a voice so that people like Jenas and Humphrey can make them look stupid, by using the actual facts rather than spouting shite with no substance. Anyone neutral watching surely would have been firmly swayed on to our side of the argument....
